As a conservative, I like TotalFark because it gives me a target rich environment of liberal stupidity.

That's right. After I got TF I started wearing skirts and dresses exclusively. The breeze on my balls has cleared up my fungal rash, and my legs look fantastic in stockings.

There's a lot more of the same people in TFD, so the discussions tend to be a lot more respectful. I mean, there's still plenty of snark particularly towards the submitter.

But there's a different feel between mainpage threads and TFD threads. More in-jokes in TFD. It may even come off as cliquey at first (and sometimes it is) but it's a clique that is open to nearly anyone with $5.

It has its pros and cons. There is less fundamentalism, political discussion, and bigotry
in TF but a LOT of circle-jerk threads and, in general, bullsh*t.

We tend to know each other a lot better. Or a lot more about each other. When one of us dies, such as RabidDog or NasKar, the community aspect really comes out.

When I was sick for these past few years, I got an incredible amount of support from TFers/TFettes.

But I know that TF's not for everyone. Which is fine. If you like it, you like it. If you don't, you don't.
