To be fair, she's not the only one that has probably described her that way.

I think in programming terms that is at least a plus plus

The easiest way to lose weight is to STOP EATING LIKE A FARKING HIPPO.

Seriously, you eat too much.

I was over at a (morbidly obese) friend's house, when her mom came home with some groceries. She pulled a full cake out from her bags and apologized that she hadn't bought enough for me to have some. She proceeded to slice the cake in half and took one for herself, and gave the other to my friend. They both then proceeded to shovel half a cake into their maws. I was stunned, and sickened.

Learn what a proper food portion is, and don't eat half a cake in one sitting, you fat cow.

WhippingBoy: I've been reading a lot of blogs that promote "fat acceptance", and what I've seen is quite unsettling.
Basically, the gist of the "fat acceptance movement" seems to be that "society", not the obese individual is required to change in order to prevent people from feeling bad about themselves. Extreme tactics, such as censorship of magazines that show "thin" people is perfectly acceptable (I'm not making this up) in order to achieve these goals.
This movement is extremely dangerous as it uses personal anecdotes and wishful thinking to promote the idea that morbid obesity is perfectly healthy (in stark contrast to the advice of almost every credible medical professional and/or dietitian). Medical research is cherry-picked to "show" this; none of the bloggers have any background in medicine or nutrition, but that doesn't stop them from presenting this nonsense as established fact. Dissenting voices (no matter how respectful and/or rational) are not allowed under any circumstances. It's basically an organized cult-like movement to avoid taking any personal responsibility; unfortunately, because it's telling the obese what they want to hear (instead of what they need to hear), it's becoming more and more popular.

I don't think it's possible. Any comments that even hint that morbid obesity may be unhealthy are censored, no matter how respectful and intelligent they might be.

Are they actually talking about censoring normal thin people or just "model thin"? I'd be all for banning models who are thin to the point of being unnatural and unhealthy. I know there are some places and/or groups that require models to have a healthy/normal BMI (too lazy and don't care enough to look it up), and I think that's a good thing. I'd be hard-pressed to say that going further than that is a good thing though.

by the 60's you started seeing big girl dress stores in the city.

Mmm, chunky girls in go-go boots... I think I am Robert Crumb.

Anyway the best clubs are not the ones that have "face control" and bouncers barring fat people at the door. Those clubs are full of anorexic gold-digging mean girls, beefy guidos looking for a fight, and people generally overpaying for everything in an attempt to look rich (while actually looking ghetto-rich). Actual fun quotient = ZERO.

They're talking about censoring images and photographs that they don't agree with. Not boycotting, not calling for people to stop buying the magazines, but out and out censorship.
(They actually used the word "censorship").

I'm still about 5lbs. overweight. I'm curvy. Fat is just fat (sometimes it is more fun...think cheescake, and always easier), but still fat.

I used to wear a shirt that said "I may be fat, but I can lose weight, and you'll still be ugly." Trying to convince yourself, doesn't convince anyone else.

I've had a discussion with her about this exact topic. I told her she's eating waaaay too much food and that those portion sizes are going to kill her. Now I didn't use the term "fat cow" in the conversation, but aside from that, she knows she's obese, and she's okay with that.

I'm glad we can all sit around and hate on fat girls. There's nothing worse than a girl whose existence isn't justified by my finding her attractive.

Seriously, you guys are assholes. Some people are fat, and that sucks for them, but it doesn't make them lesser people.

True. A real friend might say "FRIEND'S_NAME, you are killing yourself doing this". Already-fat people over-eat because eating is soothing, and frankly their lives can be difficult. It's not a moral deficit, it's just the same mechanism that makes people do anything that soothes them, regardless of the health impact. Would a real friend let a friend become an alcoholic?

Sites like that are terrible for trolling, one mis-step and you are banned4life. It's like Free Republic where if your comments don't fall exactly within the collective comfort range you will be denounced and then banned immediately. Example: a friend of mine tried to join a vegan website and she never made it past "hi guys, I'm a vegetarian who's trying to be more vegan" before she was insulted and denounced by the regulars, and told to GTFO.
