Well, I guess it's official then. Some hack at a lefty rag thinks Romney doesn't stand a chance. We might as well just not have the election and leave Obama in office for another 4 years.

Silly man. Obama is doing away with term limits and will be king of the world for life. He's really that good.

My elderly mother-in-law informs me that Nobama doesn't stand a chance. His health care plan is an abomination and he's destroying the economy with his failed socialist policies. All of America hates him passionately and it's only his stranglehold on the LSM that keeps anybody saying otherwise.

Thank God for Fox News.

You too.

Maybe in 2016 you guys will nominate someone electable. Nah, probably some teabagger with no chance in hell.

Isn't it a little early in the game to count electoral votes? Wait till at least, I dunno, August or September or something.

i think it's amusing that he thinks the right-leaning wapo is "lefty." well, i guess it is, if you get all your news from der stürmer.

According to RCP, counting likely and leans for both candidates, Obama is ahead 227 - 170. it's much easier for Obama to gain 43 more of the remaining 141 electoral votes than it would be for Romney to gain 100 of them.

FIrst of all, the election isn't until November.

Second, THE ELECTION ISN'T UNTIL NOVEMBER.

So there you go. Dems, you don't need to go out and vote, this one's sewn up.

2012-04-30 10:37:17 AM
This is why Democrats need to get out and vote on November 7!

2012-04-30 10:37:39 AM
It will be funny to see Obama and Democrat U.S. representatives win Wisconsin with large margins and Scott Walker by a tiny margin.

In all fairness. the Republicans have never relied on Reality to win elections.

you need to stop believing the press releases and accept the fact that Romney is facing a very tough election....not to mention that before the race has even started, he's strapping 20lb bags of lead weights to his belt and then shooting himself in both feet.

This is pretty clearly bad news for President Fart

I'm assuming a SuperPAC will just mail swing voters a nice crisp $10 for "congratulations" in October, along with some handy Rmoney campaign materials. I mean, you got $225 million, why not use it?

I just can't see Romney winning against Obama. nothing from the Romney organization convinces me he can run an effective campaign. And when he loses, the evangelicals will rip him apart for failure.

2012-04-30 10:57:07 AM
I could easily see Romney taking Ohio and FL back for the Rs. It's taking back Virginia and Iowa that I can't see him doing, And I could see him losing Georgia if he doesn't bridge the enthusiasm gap down there.

It's punctuated correctly for a headline. Commas can be used in place of "and."

See your style guide for more details.

Two decades? OMG!!! How about saying "Both times GWB won, he had less than 300 votes." It says the same thing.

About the only way Rmoney beats Obama is if gas takes a sudden spike over $4/gallon in the fall.
Otherwise, I can't see how Obama's billion dollar war-chest can possibly blow this.

Not to mention Romney should just claim he invented pants. Oh, and fire! yeah! and the wheel! And Obama stole those ideas from him.

Especially rich moms who talk about how glad they were to not have to work and could choose to stay home. That'll really resonate.

Cletus C.: The economy will determine who wins this election.

Which is why Republicans are doing all they can to sabotage it.

2012-04-30 11:02:44 AM
Take the 2008 electoral map and adjust. I'm predicting any swing states that Obama won by 5 or more points in 2008 will stay with him, less than 5 points go to Romney. That would keep Obama CO, IA, NV, OH, and VA with Romney taking FL, MO, and NC. That gives Obama 303 electoral votes to Romney's 235.

Probably the best option Romney has is not wasting his VP pick on Rubio (FL is going to be close anyways, just throw money at this problem) and instead go for a veep out of OH or PA.

meanwhile, Limbaugh could help Romney out by calling more women sluts. because that really got a LOT of women voters to switch to being Republicans.
