I know I'm late on this but is the WWE Championship and Punk taken a backseat to what's now the John Cena show?

SharkTrager: Jim from Saint Paul: Wait. didn't HHH get removed for this kind of shiat.

Oh goddamnit WWE.

Nah, he got removed because the whole company went on strike except like 6 guys. Nobody is going to protest on Cena's behalf (probably both real and scripted). They never have anyone come out to help him.

Why? Because of "unsfae work circumstances". I would consider my boss beating me up from behind "unsafe". So would any wrestler logically.

Of course though, fark LOGIC.

How long has Punk come out at the top of the hour, had 10-15 minutes, while there's been John Cena all around him? lol Nothing new to this craptitude, I'm afraid.

Once again, Vince pisses away perfectly logical storylines just because LOL MARKS I TROLL U!

FTFS:

As seen last night, WWE announced that The Bella Twins had been fired. In reality, their contracts expired yesterday and they chose not to re-sign with the company The original plan had Kharma destroying them on their way out but the feeling backstage was that the plans changed after news leaked on the internet. As late as Sunday, they were still discussing doing the Kharma angle at Extreme Rules.

Seinle Vince strikes again! Don't give the fans what they want, especially if they ask for it!

Well you have the right idea, though the wrong approach.

It's not Senile Vince not giving the fans what they want in that case, it's that it leaked out on the internet, and he had to spite that fact. There are times he does it just to spite the fans, like the current trend with DBD. But this Bella thing is all about just making sure the internet gets the rumors and leaked reporting wrong.

He really is turning into Senile Mr. Burns.

Let's change the slogan to:

And possibly: The Next Big Sling.

i still buy it. Brock did nothing to this guy but put him in a sling.

how legitimate.

considering the source of the "rumor" is several active talents... then the "work" aspect goes into the "working the boys" angle.
when the boys start getting worked, it typically gets weird. i think WCW did that at the end constantly.

- As previously reported, Brock Lesnar had a backstage meltdown after his loss at Extreme Rules when John Cena cut a post-match promo instead of the original place to have him stretchered out of the building. Lesnar felt that he was made to look weak and that he was double-crossed by WWE officials. WWE's current mindset about Lesnar is that since he's getting paid a load of money to work a light schedule, he should be used to put over their top talents. There are some on Lesnar's side who believe WWE may have been testing Lesnar by changing the plan at Extreme Rules without telling him.

Lesnar lost it backstage in front of everyone, going on a tear. He specifically yelled at John Laurinaitis' assistant Marc Carano about how "everything is wrong" in WWE. There are those who think the tantrum was an act by Lesnar so he could show the rest of the boys that he has more power than WWE in their relationship and can leave any time he wants.

Lesnar also suggested during his tirade that Cena purposefully pulled down the top rope at Extreme Rules, which almost resulted in his knee getting blown out when they both fell out of the ring. Despite this, the two are believed to be on good terms and the accusation was likely just Brock being overly worked up.

Lesnar's relationship with WWE is said to be complicated at the moment. The company appears to be building toward a match with Triple H at SummerSlam based on what happened on Raw. Lesnar will most likely work the remaining "big" pay-per-views (Survivor Series, Royal Rumble) leading up to WrestleMania 29, which is will be his final match with the company.

Like I said before, I don't think Brock handled it well, but he has a point. It does make him look weak, which is probably not what you want to do when you're trying to build a monster. Having Cena do a stretcher job would have been much more effective. And frankly, almost everything in WWE is wrong. The fact that Trips/Lesnar is a possibility is proof enough of that.

The main reason I don't buy it is because the way he sold it was shoulder movement, and they are claiming an elbow injury. It was a very nice touch because he made it look like it popped. Normally they don't do that stuff that well.

I'm going to throw out a wild idea.

What if Trips has to work with Lesnar because nobody else wants to, and Trips is just willing to be the guy to take the punishment while Lesnar gets his shiat together. Hell, Smiths may be right. They may be working the wrestlers too.

Why? Because of "unsfae work circumstances". I would consider my boss beating me up from behind "unsafe". So would any wrestler logically.

Of course though, fark LOGIC.

They didn't care about the unsafe working conditions. WWE cared because of the walkout. From a continuity thing it works since only Cena is affected and he has almost no friends, despite being a face. Now if Ace starts beating up all the wrestlers, then there's an issue.

Also, I think it's interesting it's now Ace/Cena vs. Ace/Punk.

What and Truth and Miz were loaded with friends?

It was ludicrous to have any walkout in the first place. "Oh my god, wrestling is dangerous!!!1!1!". Now, they won't even use their own logic because it doesn't fit the story.

They are not using regular logic or more importantly WWE logic. I am a firm believer in every kind of show being allowed to have it's own "logic". Something that happens in THAT show's world which makes sense for THAT show and doesn;t have to anywhere else.

WWE isn't even using THAT.

They're looking at both and more, because ratings aren't all shareholders care about. It's debt and revenue. WWE's relationship with USA, although long and ongoing, has ended once before, and WWE has always had trouble getting advertisers. So stale ratings is a sign that WWE at least keeps an average 4 million viewers each week, but they always struggle to sell ads during those two hours. So there is always a threat to revenue. As far as debt, well, that's been covered pretty well. The act is WWE is still leaning on Wrestlemania to carry a huge bulk of revenue when it should be relying on 2-4 big events to do that. If I were a shareholder I know I'd be much happier knowing WWE's business wasn't so dependent on what happens in March-April each year.

On the bright side, we're going to see CM Punk and Daniel Bryan for the WWE title at a pay per view. Sure it's not one of the major ones, but this may be a laboratory experiment, because if Over the Limit can do well with a main event like Cena vs Ace with Punk vs Bryan on the card, it's going to look really good for those two.

Chris Jericho's band Fozzy is going on the Uproar Festival tour this summer from 15 August through 30 September. So you can pretty much assume that Jericho's ride with WWE is already on the downhill portion. The question is whether they give him a congratulatory title run of some kind or not.

No, the angle was that someone behind the scenes was f'ing with everyone in some way or another to make HHH look bad. Nobody came to Miz' defense. The factions that walked out were the same as they always are. The closest thing to something new was that the Divas were united, but even that makes sense because, until Eve, there wasn't really a heel/face division. There was an athletes/models split.

FTFS:

As we've been reporting here on the site, Brock Lesnar did throw a tantrum backstage after Extreme Rules, f4wonline.com is reporting that it was partially a 'work' on the locker room as a way to convince people that Cena going over was the right decision. Lesnar was upset about the finish, but "some, if not most" of the situation was not entirely legitimate.

WWE tried to have word leak out on Monday that Lesnar had quit the company, likely to get the "dirt sheets" reporting it so people would be surprised when Lesnar showed up on RAW. However, by the time that this was going on, it was already out there that Lesnar was at the arena and going to be at RAW.

Someone really needs to send Vince crates of The Death of WCW book (no matter how badly written it is). He's re-enacting it on a weekly basis.

So King is a heel now? In fact, thelat one RAW started with 3 faces and that's IT. We got Punk wearing the Swede jacket and everything. Contrary to the hyperbole we like to spew here, there are more then 3 faces in the company.

The reason given for them walking out was a "hostile work environment". Period. How they got there was what you mentioned with the texts. The tipping points to make it happen was HHH attacking Miz and Truth along with King walking out first.

Johnny Ace is attacking his talent 6 months later. "Because he is a heel" is not enough enough to say the logic in any way makes sense.

As of today, I am planning to post several tweets regarding my thoughts and feelings toward Lord Tensai. First of all, I have a strong reason why I must defeat Lord Tensai. As in my Japanese lesson, "tensai" means natural disaster.

As everyone knows, Japan experienced a major earthquake and tsunami on March 11th of last year. More than 15,000 people lost their lives, over 5,000 people are still missing, and more than 5,000 people were injured. In addition, over 130,000 people lost their homes. Sadly, the recovery has been very slow. Many people are still living in temporary housing, without jobs. Moreover, the Japanese people haven't been able to recover from the grief of losing family members, including children who lost their parents.

Out of respect, I strongly urge Lord Tensai to change his name. As Japanese superstar of WWE, I cannot tolerate him using this name during Japanese appearance. Even though he is tremendously big and very strong, I will defeat him someday. Japan was defeated by natural disasters - "TENSAI". And I, Yoshi Tatsu is the one who defeats that "TENSAI". When I beat him, I will make him change his name. This is #YoshiRevolution Episode 1.

Jim from Saint Paul: So King is a heel now? In fact, thelat one RAW started with 3 faces and that's IT. We got Punk wearing the Swede jacket and everything. Contrary to the hyperbole we like to spew here, there are more then 3 faces in the company.

No, yet again, not something I said. There were members of every faction who split. King represented the announcers and legends.

And the Miz/Truth thing was not an isolated incident, it was the tipping point.

The only real failure in the angle was that they abandoned it.

...

this is what they had a meeting about. tweeting for story or something.

vince cares about what is tweeted as much as he cares about crowd reaction.

Dumb-Ass-Monkey: WWE reportedly tried to leak word on Monday that Brock had quite the company so that when he showed up on Raw, people would be surprised. However, it was already out that Lesnar was at the arena and going to be on Raw so that failed.

good. so they're up to the "playing the smark sites"

how Russo-esque.

I loved the conspiracy angle. It would have been great for them to be heels but then uncover that someone at the top HAS been holding them back.
