I was thinking the same thing. What is 1976? Bronze age, or something?

Well it was 36 years ago. The whole premise of Back to the Future was how different things were only 30 years ago. There could be a scene with the kid with the Justin Bieber haircut who's wearing his antiquated Star Wars shirt ironically is tweeting on his iPhone about the batshiat crazy biatch throwing things around with her mind like she just escaped from Azkaban. No one in 1976 would know WTF he was doing. And John Travolta was a teen heartthrob and not the closeted Scientologist from Pulp Fiction.
