He's a boring rich guy. Obama isn't a boring rich guy. Please note the emphasis on the word boring and not the word rich because they're both wealthy.

Obama is also a self-made man who had to work his ass off for everything he has. He embodies the class mobility narrative the Republicans love.

And that's an awesome fact that he doesn't want to afford anyone else. He didn't work his way out of the welfare state though. He is the epitome of class mobility when the class isn't trapped by welfare and entitlement programs. There would be more Obama's if there was less "cradle to grave" mentality programs that punish success.

Wow......I am so pleased that Chimperror agrees that "Obama is also a self-made man who had to work his ass off for everything he has. He embodies the class mobility narrative the Republicans love." Chimperror also admits that "He didn't work his way out of the welfare state" and that the President make use of any welfare or entitlement programs such as affirmative action.

I love when we can agree so strongly!

Do you really think Obama needed affirmative action? Personally I think he would be smart enough to make it in Harvard and Columbia without having to take race into the equation. You may have a lesser opinion I guess.

Exactly how is Obama the "epitome of class mobility when the class isn't trapped by welfare and entitlement programs"?

Who, exactly, has ever been trapped by a program that provides you $500 a month?

You've never seen the inner cities of detroit and chicago and new york, have you?

The saddest things about the trolls is that their current talking point is that it shows how fundamentally undeveloped they are as human beings. Their mentality has always been in the toilet maturity-wise, but now they're going off and pretending that they're going to start fighting people. They're a few steps away from screeching racial slurs and calling people gay and pushing them, offering us to take 'the first punch' while pointing at their chin.

Honestly, at what point does a lack of dignity start to hurt?

Live that life please and tell me it is pleasant because I damn well know it isn't. I'm not saying there aren't people who don't game the system because I damn well know there are people who do it and they still lead shiatty lives. An SSI check,Foodstamps,Section 8 housing or Medicaid isn't really a huge source of pride for anyone I know that uses these programs as intended. Section 8 housing can end up sticking you in terrible goddamn places if the people who run it where you live are crooked farks and let any landlord with properties that aren't fit for animals pass inspections for years. Why only mention big cities too? You can see some pretty awful shiat in the rural areas too.

Well, in my opinion, the only thing that will get this country back on track fiscally is conservatism and Obama and his crew are completely against that. They want socialism.....and they have been very vocal about it. Romney, although not perfect, not my first choice, is far better, has actually worked in the private sector, has real world experience. Obama will move fwd with his agenda and will completely take this county.....or at least leave it in true shambles for the next prez....down a socialism path. I can say this because I have seen Obama's meddling first hand working for my bro and being around lots and lots of small business owners who say his policies are taking all their $$ and effort and driving them out of business. Obama has no real world experience......none. He is a true elitist and I truly hope you do your homework and get your vote right, otherwise there won't be any American dream for your daughter to take advantage of in the future. Romney won't be a Reagan, but he will have true conservatives around him, and the American people, who will keep him in line. He won't get away with anything. Obama spends more than half his time trying to divide the country and what he can't get thru congress, he does thru executive order, or thru regulations via IRS, EPA, banking, whomever. It is quite disturbing and not at all how I pictured this country to be! I mean, I figured we'd have to fight for freedom at some point, but this is ridiculous!

Anyway, Romney will not make things worse. Obama staying in office will just further our decline until we have no choice but to make sharp cuts AND raise taxes greatly....be like Greece. I have done a lot of research and have seen it with my own eyes. Scary.

"The free market is the greatest generator of wealth in history. I'm a firm believer in the free market, and the capacity of Americans to start a business, pursue their dreams and strike it rich. But when you look at the history of how we became an economic superpower, that rugged individualism and private-sector dynamism was always coupled with government creating a platform so that everybody could succeed, so that consumers weren't taken advantage of, so that the byproducts of capitalism, like pollution or worker injuries, were regulated... Making those kinds of commitments to each other - to create safety nets, to invest in infrastructure and schools and basic research - is just like our collective investment in national security or fire departments or police. It has facilitated the kind of risk-taking that has made our economy so dynamic. This is what it means for us to live in a thriving, modern democracy." - President Barack H. Obama

I don't really understand his stance on weed. Why isn't he prosecuting people in Alaska, where it is nearly completely legalized? Doesn't that run against federal legal authority in the same way as California?

I don't know. It's decriminalized in ohio, up to an oz and it's just a ticket (which is about the only good thing about ohio). He has so far not only ignored and laughed at people asking him about legalization/decrim, but it just seems that he's going after the legit business side in mmj states. It makes no sense.

Well, it does make sense strategically. The Feds are going after the guys like Oaksterdam who operate fully in compliance of state medical marijuana laws.
The plan is to bleed them financially, making it harder for the legit operators to fight back.
Once the organized opposition is taken out it will be easy to mop up the rest.
Marijuana enforcement makes up half of the DEA's budget. They aren't going to give up that money and power peacefully.

He has controlled his urges to smoke and eat dog so he is making progress in some areas.

He quit smoking and when did he have an urge to eat dog, again? When he was six?

So we are voting for Presidents because the quit smoking (which he did not by the way) and because he only ate dog once? And thats the end all be all of having a successful Presidency? If those are the two things that you think help you in any way shape or form---PLEASE stop VOTING.

Tobacco is a traditional mainstay American crop. My grandfather fought and died in Korea and both smoked and ate dog at least once. fark you for trying to make those things an issue. You and anyone who does should be ashamed.

Smoking is a heck of a lot better than draining the treasury to fight two wars after neglecting to keep the wtc safe.

It's exciting to live in terrible neighborhoods because you have no choice, just think of all those screams upstairs or outside as free entertainment. Get your place robbed by people just as desperate as you or pure scummy assholes? Well hell consider that charitable donation you leech. No transportation? Too farking bad if you don't live in a big city. Learn to farking walk asshole especially where there aren't any sidewalks and people let their vicious animals roam free.

Then you get it. The person afraid to (and punished for) trying to make more for themselves is trapped. "Be a good democrat and live in a shiathole and we'll pay for your shiathole. Try to move out or move up, and we'll cuit you off." That's a trap. Oh, and to make it look okay, we'll throw a tiny AA bone to the occasional exceptional student instead of fixing the school system.

The Dog Ate The Constitution: Please post past comments of mine in which I predicted anything. I'll wait.

How about you stop being a brainless douchebag and I'll stop trolling you?
