You guys are funny. We have an election putting up a relatively successful and popular incumbent against a person whose own party only begrudgingly allowed to become their candidate, and whose primary turnout has been at record lows.

And with all that the most recent poll, Gallup, has 0bama +1, in a +/- 3 margin of error and rasmussen has Romney up +2 in a similar margin of error.

Romney will lose. The only question is how many seats does the GOP pick up in the Senate.

Time to take back the country and restore dignity to the Office.

That was the DNC rallying cry from 2004 and 2008, wasn't it.
I guess you'd rather have a figurehead president with hamfisted solutions than one with a degree in Constitutional Law who doesn't know about Marbury v. Madison or that the Supreme court has taken the "unprecedented" action of overturning laws at least once before.

It's pretty telling that a poll as biased as Scott Rasmussen's can only manage a dead heat.

We have a new definition of "attention whore": Someone who needs attention so badly, they'll spend all afternoon arguing about something completely irrelevant even after they've been proven wrong, rather than let it go; because if they don't, they have to face the fact that they're just plain useless.

That's not even likely. If they aren't showing up for their own primaries and caucuses, what makes you think MORE will show up for what's essentially a lost cause. The balance will remain the same, and some House seats may be up for grabs.

Re: Marbury v. Madison and the President

He's not the one testifying before SCOTUS. Also, that case isn't relevant to the case. Judicial review is common practice, even before that case. SCOTUS isn't a body that bows to the whims of the people. It deliberates and decides cases based on legal precedent as any other court does.

Its part of the running narrative which attempts to paint Obama as some kind of exotic foreigner, and plays to the Republican base, which is rife with Xenophobia. The overall message is that "he is not culturally like us, so he is not trustworthy"

Can you find another reason why Republicans have relentlessly attacked Obama for his Kenyan background or his upbringing in Indonesia? These things do not concern reasonable people.

Ahhhhh, then what you need to understand is the difference between 'asserting' and 'implying'. I missed this exchange, but if he put the two together for seemingly no reason, it was obviously to imply that he had indeed eaten dog as an adult, but by implying, instead of asserting, he gives himself this nice easy out... It makes him appear honest, while still trying to spread as new lie.

The Conservosphere had better hurry up with the talking points - my Facebook feed is full of people trying to blame Obama for inviting Kim Kardashian and Lindsay Lohan. Funny how failtastic that sentiment really is.

Here's a conversation I just had:

My friend - So I just saw a picture of Lindsey Lohan at the White House Correspondence [sic] dinner. Apparently they are scraping the bottom of the barrel of people which to invite.

Me - She was an invited guest of Greta Van Susteren and FOX News.

Person 1 - Who invited the other 100+ celebrities?

Me - You have to be a credentialed member of the White House press corps to get an official invite. The rest, including any celebrities, are invited by those members or their parent corporation.

Person 2 - Doesn't suprise me.....kim kardashian was there too....Obama is more hollywood than American.

Me - You can blame Greta and the folks at FOX for that one, too. And you don't need a passport to visit Hollywood.

Person 1 - So Sophia Vergara who was invited by ABC News can't get credit? FOX did that one too?

Person 1 - CNN invited Tony Romo.

Person 2 - I just thank Fox for showing realism.

Me - They all invited celebrities, I was shedding light on the two that were proffered.
