Owangotang: Eh f*ckit it was all worth it to see Brock damn near kill himself launching over Cena and the top rope...still laughing about that...deuces

He sold that well then with the limp, the laughing it off and going back up to the middle of the ring again.

Just like Punk sold the slipping off the top rope thing

TheManofPA: I'm waiting to see the reviews. If Cena is legit hurt, I'm fine with his speech at the end. That speech though subtle and WTF, does give him an instant face run on return.

Now if WWE is BALLSY, he does come back with an instant face run to save the day.....ONLY TO TURN THAT NIGHT. Now that would be the greatest way to pull a Cena heel turn

Cena has had numerous opportunities to turn heel in the year leading up to WM but never did. He only is a face now.

Cena is doing Marine 3 because the Marines didn't like Orton doing the movie. Orton was dishonorably discharged from the Marines. Cena may also be having some surgery done on his neck/shoulder from previous injuries is my idea.

I was looking on the wrestling sheets just now, and came across a recent UW rare appearance in full gear.

He was taking pics with fans (he pretty much looked like a cardboard cut out) , and came across this one. The fan with the Cornette shirt has me lol.

Remember the good old days when Vince pushed who the crowd pushed whether with heat or pop. Remember when Vince's wallet was on the ear of audience? He's totally in the "off my lawn" stage of his life.. People wanted Kharma, there was chants of Kharma yet we get Layla???? This is a PPV for christ sakes give people their moneys worth. Stop with the laptop DJ mixing crowd noise to "your favor"... It's so insulting watching this shiat and seeing the obvious purposely done attempts at farking what the audience wants.

You should check it out. Minus the Divas and Cena match, the wrestling is actually very good and the hot crowd carries the matches to 1/2 star-1 star better. Overall best PPV of year

The wrestling business itself is drastically different now than even during the Attitude Era. The audience is different, so is the TV industry, the wrestlers, and so is the corporate culture of WWE.

The only thing I can think of is that WWE goes over its earnings each quarter, reviews ppv buys, ratings and merch sales, and thinks things are good enough to not change very much. Personally I think they're in trouble. WWE Studios and the network carry a lot of debt.

I know that DBD-Limes and Punk-Y2J were good, Miz got jobbed and Vince pulled a Russo and brought back Layla. Basically, looking at it, it's the almost the opposite of WM 28.

no, they had ryback squash local athletes in england... so I just thought that was the angle... Ryback squashes local guys while WWE roster watches from the back

From WWE.com

Reminiscent of his last pay-per-view bout in the Allstate Arena against red-hot hometown hero CM Punk at Money in the Bank, the 10-time WWE Champion was met by deafening jeers against the callous goliath.

What PPV was this at? Because the PPV I watched the chants went like "LETS GO CENA" *Whargarble crowd noise piped in* "LETS GO CENA" *Whargarble crowd noise piped in*

Solid PPV.

Some head scratchers for sure though.

1) Why waste a segment with Ryback? Chicago was going to shiat all over that.

2) What is up with the ending? For the first time in ages, I'm confused to what's the work. I think I like that, but not sure yet.

Their stock is tanking, WWE Network and Studios are money pits, but Vince is deluding himself into thinking that everything's A-OK.

Look up the Shareholder's meeting they had recently... in fact, I searched for the notes from the meeting from one of the sheets...

WWE held the annual shareholder's meeting on Friday morning at WWE Headquarters in Stamford, CT. This time, Triple H was introduced under his real name along with the other WWE executives including Vince McMahon, Kevin Dunn and Basil Devito. Here are some highlights:

* Vince guaranteed that WWE will be in stronger shape by this time next year. Vince talked about WWE attendance being up and RAW being up 3% in the ratings while SmackDown is up 15%.

* CFO George Barrios said that 37% of WWE business is now international.

* Barrios said 2010 was WWE's most profitable year but they lost $40 million in 2011. $30 million of that was losses from WWE Studios. WWE was also hurt last year by holding off on rights fees of non-RAW and SmackDown shows as they hold them off for the Network.

* Barrios added that WWE is the #2 action figure brand.

* WWE Studios head Michael Luisi said they will now be doing PG-13 and R rated movies as well as different genre films like horror, sci-fi, drama and others. They will also continue to do PG movies.

* WWE will also focus on working on pre-existing franchises and producing sequals as a way to tap into those movies fanbases and broaden their own film base beyond the WWE fans.

* WWE Studios has began acquiring completed movies which will allow them to take the movie, brand it as a WWE film and market it over the various WWE properties.

* Marine: Homefront will begin filming in June and a WWE Superstar will be announced in the starring role soon. Horror movie No One Lives with Brodus Clay in a supporting role will be released in 2013.

So, they've lost major money because of something they're only doing because Vince needs to be respected by Hollywood, they lie to shareholders about ratings being up, and end it all with Vince saying "EVERYTHING WILL BE OKAY! NOW, I'LL SPEND 5 MILLION TO EMBARRASS SOMEONE WHO MADE ME LOOK BAD!" and then get R-Truth and Brodus Clay to shuck and jive for them.

If Vince doesn't go, there will be no pro wrestling left in the USA, except for a couple minor league outfits and the indies. Vince McMahon is killing WWE.

Agreed, he is his own worst competition now. The fans are smarter and smarter every day.. Every once in a while WWE gets it right and it's obvious it's just pure luck. CM Punk shoot, Lesnar return just to name a few. But it shows if you just blow the same way as the fans you get MAJOR returns for little effort. Then many many many many many many times and more so lately they just fark with the fans.. Jerichos return has to be one of the biggest mistakes Vince has made lately and completely farked the audience and also his profits. His return was hyped up to hell. It was almost a full on Undertaker return like promo dump and speculation build. Kharma teasing an "Extreme beating" before the PPV only to have Layla return.. Kharma just tweeted she watched the PPV from home.

He just constantly farks himself. In the AE I used to buy A LOT of PPVs because I knew I was going to be guranteed to be entertained.. Now I buy one PPV a year (WM) only because it's tradition.

CHICAGO - John Cena's victory over Brock Lesnar came with a steep price, as WWE.com has learned the Cenation leader suffered an injured left arm in his Extreme Rules Match against the wrecking machine at Extreme Rules in Chicago.

Lesnar made it a point to punish Cena's arm in their hotly anticipated bout in Chicago's sold-out Allstate Arena, trapping his arm in a Kimura Lock halfway through their show-stopping clash. And while Cena - who also took an elbow in the opening moments of the match that split his head open - beat Lesnar by a narrow margin with an Attitude Adjustment on the steel steps, it appears he has ended up the worse for wear despite the victory.

"The most obvious injury was the laceration to his head, which caused a substantial amount of bleeding," said WWE locker room physician Dr. Chris Amann. "He also has suffered a shoulder injury. Initial testing in the training room leads me to believe there may be torn muscles, possibly a torn rotator cuff or a biceps muscle."

Unfortunately, there are no specifics available as to the extent of Cena's condition, although he is still scheduled to appear on tomorrow's Raw SuperShow. Dr. Amann told WWE.com reporters that doctors would be conducting additional tests in the morning to determine the full scope of Cena's injuries.

Check back with WWE.com for more details as the story progresses.

Yep, worked injury.. If you are in pain, and a Dr. in a pro wrestling locker room thinks you have a torn rotator cuff or bicep you don't conduct "additional" tests 8hrs later.. WWE have always been awful at working injuries. Just like they have always been awful with the use of `cops'..

Triple H.

Miz ducked away instead of selling an over the rope dive from R-Truth which damn near got Truth killed, got chewed out by Gagne and the other WWE brass backstage, and he's been in the doghouse ever since.

Is the guy ever going to get out, or are we going to see The Muzz in the Impact Zone?
