Why would we want to bring Booth back? Andrew Basiago said the dude couldn't act at all.

My American cousin says you'd need them like a hole in the head, and I trust her...she's a good enough actor not to take "break a leg" literally.

Strange but true: Abraham Lincoln might have been an actual Lincoln of the Lincoln Lincolns.

The National Museum of Health and Medicine outside DC has the bullet that killed him, chips of bone from his skull, and the bloodtrained cuffs of the doctor who worked on him at Ford's Theater. Pretty cool to see.

This is pretty interesting, I suspect any heir of Lincoln could have a claim for them. Regardless over them being sold a bunch of times. Same line of thinking that art stolen by the nazi's has been returned to heirs generations later.

He dropped them as assassinated. He did not disgard them, and "found property cliaming law" only applies when finder doesn't know who lost it, at least presenly. Don't know about back them.

There are no longer any known living direct descendants of Lincoln, but I suppose descendants of his ancestors would be considered heirs.

Yeah but operas just aren't as big these days and I have to try and turn around and sell it, and lets face it its been a long time since Lincoln was POTUS, so there aren't as many fans as there used to be. I'll give you $50 for it.

Items like this shouldn't be in the hands of "anonymous private collectors." They should be at the Smithsonian. Think about it: they are probably being sold because some asshat hedge fund manager didn't get a big enough bonus this year.

Yeah yeah, I know:

Just for fun and because it's the same time frame, owners of the house in which Jesse James was killed in happily sold for many years shavings from the bullet hole made by the bullet that "exited" his head.

When his remains were re-interred about 30 years later, lo and behold, there was no exit hole in his head.

You need some powerful faith (or a tank sheet) to pay money for stuff like this.

Pretty much. Abraham Lincoln was basically the one and only man who could have stopped the cabal of bank's renewed attempt to usurp the people's control over United States monetary policy since getting their teeth kicked in just 30 years earlier by President Badass Old Hickory Jackson.

And this country has had no one like Lincoln ever since.

Why did he need opera glasses? He was about 5 feet from the stage.
