I thought the child abuse allegations were all innuendo and propaganda, and the real reason for the raid was because someone's sister's boyfriend who saw a guy she knew at 31 flavors said that the Branch Davidians were sawing shotguns down to below 18" OAL.

And the comparison would only be valid if the FBI burns the women and children to death this time, too.

Maybe you didn't know it was later proven they used incendiary grenades which caused the blaze that killed everyone? Or are you saying it's a troll because you don't like to hear truths that interfere with your world view?

I lived at the Waco compound and survived the siege. I can tell you first hand that there were nothing at all like child abuse going on. We loved those children and loved each other like family. It makes me sick how we were portrayed in the media. You will all have hell to pay when David comes back and makes you atone for your sins.

"She said no one from the church came to her and tried to comfort or counsel with her. She said nobody from the church said anything to her after the abuse was revealed."

What's her point? Would she have been ok with it if they'd tried to comfort her? If her story is true then they're terrible people she shouldn't be talking to anyway.

In other words they used flash bangs and smoke grenades, which is usually done to disorientate people before you try to breach a fortified compound. Those grenades inadvertently ignited stuff in the compound causing the fire. They didn't throw some type of fire grenades into the compound to purposely burn it down like some people want to believe.

I think the ATF should have tried more to talk people out, especially the children, instead trying to breach so soon, but in no way do I think they were purposely trying to burn the place down and kill everybody like some people want to believe.

"Those grenades inadvertently ignited stuff in the compound causing the fire."

It's no secret that they get very, very hot. Hot enough that they can easily start a fire. Hot enough that they need to be used very carefully. Which the Feds definitely did not do.

The Feds did just about everything possible to bring about an armed confrontation. It's not a conspiracy, just incredibly inept ATF/FBI agents who screwed up and lied every step of the way.

More likely the fire was caused by gasoline spread across the compound, as punctured gasoline cans and evidence of gasoline was found all over the place on the inside of the compound afterwards.

People with lowered chances of economic success tend to prefer the warmth. If you lose everything, it's much easier to be homeless in San Diego, Key West, or south Texas than it is in Bangor, ME or Minot, ND.

I've heard this said before, but never saw any documentation of it. But I always did think that Koresh did set this up to be a mass suicide by cop type of deal.

Funny. None of the people who are all poutraged about what happened to the wackos at Waco seem to get similarly poutraged over what happened to the Move On people in Philly.

I don't know if there is any documentation on it. I heard it from one of the world's best fire investigators during a forensic seminar I attended. I presume he only told us because the information is public, and I don't recall him saying not to repeat it (otherwise, he told us against his better judgment).

lol mopes are lazy, sleep late, and don't tolerate rain or cold.

When I have to knock on doors in bad neighborhoods in Chicago, I go at 9am. Cold days and wet days are the best. I deal with property owners. They're up and about. The assholes don't emerge before noon.;

And the FBI's microphones picking up the nuts talking about spreading the accelerant. Also that Mr. Koresh had used fire on his own building in the past.

Waco inspired Oklahoma City, which in turn 'inspired' Columbine, which itself inspired all sorts of madness. Let's hope the film ends differently this time.

I dunno, sounds like a good fundamentalist lifestyle to me. Another acceptable option would be to send the kids for military training to overthrow the secular government in the name of Jesus. Or maybe that's a gender based role, not sure about that.
