It's not entirely ridiculous, because weather greatly affects home runs.

There's another aspect of it though because it's not just about temperature but also barometric pressure. And if you're playing underneath the center of a 1028 mb high pressure cell, with all the sinking air, that will suppress home runs even if that air is warm and dry. On the other hand if you're on the edge of that cell, and it's pushing warm, humid air from your southwest, you're probably going to see an increase in home runs.

But there's way too many variables to confidently attribute anything to climate change.

Everyone knows that the number of home runs does not increase when the air in a ballpark is warm compared to when the air is cold. Right?

Can't stand the guy. I wonder if they have to make the doors to the press box bigger so that he can get his ego through the door.

He went on a wonderful tangent today about Bob Uecker shagging a tuba.

random baseball note: with the Red Sox (bleh) on their 6-game win streak and finally reaching .500, the AL East is currently the only division without a losing team

Wasn't McCarver the guy who said that the way to stop pulling balls to the left was to hit to the right side of the field (or something along those lines)?
