Well if I'm not rich enough to afford a Ferrari(not that I'd especially want one even if I could afford it) I can at least take solace in the fact that I am better endowed than the entire convention of Ferrari owners.

Hmm, first time I've heard of the term "well-heeled".
Rich people have fancy shoes I guess?

Just looking at the people in that photo, they all have some sort of drug induced rictus, I wouldn't call it a 'friendly smile' or even a 'smile' by any margin. It's disturbing.

Basically came to post this. If I have Ferrari money, the size of my dick does not matter one bit.

Haters gonne hate. I guess.

Was driving to a beach in Sagaponack last summer and saw a silver ferrari (I have no clue about models) with the license plate "4RE" parked on a farm. I so wanted to meet the person who had that license plate. Either they were going to be one of the funniest people I've ever met or a douche on an epic scale. Either way. I wanted to meet him.

That's my CSB and I'm stickin' to it

So if driving a sports car means you have a small penis, does driving a beat-up Buick Century mean you're hung like a horse?

2012-04-28 10:55:54 PM
And for the record, yes. I'd take one. Even at the expense of the the ol' captain.

The number that jumps out at me the most...1100 kg. That's about 2300 pounds. That's 800 pounds lighter than a Z06, not to mention most performance cars today. Criminy.

25 years old and it could still run with most of today's cars.

Just average. The guy who drives this has a dick that bends space and time:

Yeah yeah we get the cliche. I exempt the F40 though seeing as it's basically a street legal race car... which is why rich white guys end up crashing them, it's a driver's car, not nearly as much of a status symbol as current Ferraris.

a 208/308 any style would suit me just fine. :-)

I saw a hummer towing a corvette to Alaska the other day.

But Ferrari has a certain class, especially if you are out solving crimes with your black friend who fly's a chopper.

Eh - I ran the numbers. If you trust the sales data collected by Ferrari - Ferrari owners actually spend less of their income on their cars than an average American driving a Honda Civic. By a significant margin.

The guy driving around in the 'SUPER EXTENDED CAB' pickup truck to avoid admitting that he really should have gotten a minivan is compensating a lot more than the middle aged guy who buys a Ferrari as a weekend toy to add to his fleet of cars (the average Ferrari owner has five other vehicles).

You can pick up a nice example of a 308 for 20-25k these days. Just be sure to put a good chunk away for maintenance and you are good to go. Oh and don't try and race any new Camry's a they will embarrass you. Great style, but not so quick anymore.

OBBN: don't try and race any new Camry's a they will embarrass you. Great style, but not so quick anymore.

Latest Camry V6 has nearly 300HP and with do a 5.7 second 0 to 60 off the lot. Amazing when you think about it.

Drop a mild turbo on that and you'd have a real beast without sacrificing too much reliability...

If you buy a Ferrari, you have money to burn. Of course it's not going to be a significant portion of your income.

If you buy a Honda Civic, it is probably going to be used as a daily driver. The person probably has less income and the civic, while less expensive then the Ferrari, is going to cost a greater fraction of the persons income.

You also don't "trick out" a Ferrari. Idiots will spend 10s of thousands of dollars turning their civic into a loud, ugly, poorly riding piece of crap that tries to kill you.

Ferrari's come from the factory as loud, ugly, poor riding, pieces of crap that try and kill you. No need to waste money on upgrades.

Well if someone has a lot more money then you, doesn't it make you feel better to imagine they are severely lacking in some other department?

Makes sense when you consider we are dumb monkeys mostly ruled by our emotions.
