Sgt Otter: LouDobbsAwaaaay: tlchwi02: /when the "Tea Partiers" look down on people using vandalism as a form of political and social protest, we are truly through the looking glass. Do any of those illiterate fools even know what the "Tea Party" they are referencing was?

They do. Remember: Teabaggers dress like the British at their bagger-rallies. They celebrate the Boston Tea Party - they just aren't representing the side you think they are.

My favorite is the guy who dresses like a Hessian.

I already did that rant in the Dan Savage thread. Something about how you don't have to come to my funeral, because I DON'T BELIEVE IN THEM ANYWAY.

I only come here so I can tell everyone how much they suck. Yeah, that's the ticket.

Yep, it's a Tea Party event.

What you call "peaceful" others might refer to as "obesity-induced immobility". Also, if you want to compare the Tea Party and Occupy, I have yet to see any images of of handcuffed elderly in tri-corner hats being pepper-sprayed. It's not hard to remain peaceful when only 1 side is being subject to that kind of thuggery.

As for their message? If you don't understand Occupy, it's only because you're an idiot. Occupy's message: "Economic Inequality". Tea Party's message? THERE'S A SOCIALIST NAZI KENYAN NEAR IN THE WHITEHOUSE!!!1!

1) Their site is a PIA. They display ten comments at a time and the discussions are difficult to follow.

2) I'm not seeing anyone who disagrees substantially with the average teabagger. Can you point out an epic thread?

One of my parents' friends was at some rally and someone had a 'Don't tread on me' snake sign up. She got offended that someone would use something related to the devil as a protest sign and how it was insulting religion or something. My parents found out that their friend had absolutely no idea about the history of the Don't trend on me flag or the snake with it and had to explain it to her.

She also believes that Obama is not American. Even my democrat hating, Fox news watching parents think their friends are f*cking ignorant idiots.

Mr. Coffee Nerves: My favorite part was the photo of the tea partier dressed as, yes, a Hessian soldier holding a "NO TAXATION WITHOUT REPRESENTATION" sign (properly spelled, no less) while speaking to...his elected Representative in the PA House.

Teabaggers at their "Restore the Constitution Rally" held at Gravelly Point: a national park where, up until Obama signed legislation expanding gun rights, people couldn't take firearms.

I've kept my eye on these types for years now. Any outward showing of "patriotism," whether it be clothing, signs, or chants, will make me trust you less. Hypernationalism has helped take us to a lot of bad places in recent history.

You usually find an almost perfect overlap of the people who scream how patriotic they are but act completely unpatriotic with the group of people who scream how Christian they are while doing things that are unChristlike.

Helps that each group has the same people.

I get disgusted by them. They aren't supporting the country's ideals; they are using it as a cheap shield to fend off ANY criticisms or differing opinions from their lockstep mentality. Its cowardly. They are the same people who see 'Freedom of Speech' and read it as 'Freedom from criticisms.'

Why the fark do they even have guns at a political rally? Goddamn, gun nuts, it's like you're trying to be made fun of.

Maybe they should be surrounded by a drum circle. Then let's see how long it takes before shooting breaks out.

I for one would like to go to one of these rallies with a few M-80's and watch as the cowards dive for cover forgetting they even have guns pissing their pants in the process. Then again I'm one of those non-whites so I'd be singled out almost immediately. Yeah, no, bad idea all around for me.

QU!RK1019: FormlessOne: Wait - you want to make it a "hot girl thread," and then post a mascara-challenged, manufactured "zany girl" instead?

Know how I know you're gay?

She's cute, but "cute" isn't the same as "hot." That is high-maintenance, and although her off-key antics are fine now, as she hits middle age her exuberance will slowly change into desperation. The "zany girl" of today is the "hoarding cat lady" of tomorrow, and let's face it, she's on the path.

No, no, the Wisconsin labor protesters are Fleebaggers. With two 'e's'.

OWS are FLEAbaggers because they're dirty hippies.

And both are totally original and not just Teabaggers getting butthurt about the fact that they chose a stupid name for themselves and "liberals" won't let them forget it.

Naw, they screwed that up early on and called the Wisconsin protesters "Fleabaggers." I remember pointing out that it would be "flee," as a "fleabag" is a bad motel.
