God, is THAT the sequel with Will Ferrell? My expectations are low now.

LouDobbsAwaaaay: They do. Remember: Teabaggers dress like the British at their bagger-rallies. They celebrate the Boston Tea Party - they just aren't representing the side you think they are.

its... its all so clear now. the Tea Party Patriots want us to return to mother england... no wonder they're all white anglo-saxons.

does this mean we can put them in wooden ships and make them leave?

Fart_Machine: Mrtraveler01: This or the furry convention they hold every year.

If the attendance of this is any indication, the furries have a larger audience.

And far more respectable.

Hey, Furries are harmless. And local businesses slap a paw logo and a 25% markup on the stuff they usually sell and make money hand over fist. We'll keep the furries, but the tea party has got to go.

So I can slap a paw sticker on a copy of the Post-Gazette and charge $2 for it?

Why haven't I thought of this before?!?!?!

And to be fair, the costumes by themselves are smarter than the tea party.

Probably. Get a paw sticker and a little picture of Rainbow Dash and you can probably find someone who'll give you $50 for it.

They look really young, in touch and relevant. They figure to be around for a looooong time. Also there are a lot of them.

Your time is done libs!

Satanic_Hamster: tenpoundsofcheese: you think a tea party person would get a dog directly from Mexico?

I think they'd buy it from the store with no questions asked where it came from, as long as it's cheap. I doubt they even checked the label.

Having worked in retail in past couple years, there is an observable moron point. The people who complain about most things not being made in the USA are the ones most likely to be buying the eleven dollar blender because it's so much cheaper. I wish there was a correlation between the two observations, but, alas, there is not.

I think they are more loyal to the East India Tea Company than Britain. A powerful, wealthy, multi-national corporation that uses its influence to reduce liberty and line its pockets. An entity that transforms the misery of other people into profit for itself.

NeverDrunk23: Sadly, its mostly the second one.

I've kept my eye on these types for years now. Any outward showing of "patriotism," whether it be clothing, signs, or chants, will make me trust you less. Hypernationalism has helped take us to a lot of bad places in recent history.

I sense a business plan here.

I can stop at Sheetz, get an MTO (because why not I'm there), Buy 10-20 copys of the Post-Gazette, go to Target/Wal-Mart, buy some paw stickers and Rainbow Dash pictures, stick them on the front of the paper and put the picture inside the paper like an insert, drive to downtown, Sell the papers for $50, profit.

($20) PG
($10) stickers and pictures
$1000 revenue($50 * 20 copies)
$970 profit

I sense a good business model here guys...

Man I hope so. I'm sticking with the Republican party as long as we have the Paul's, and Justin Amash doesn't hurt either, but I'm doing it reluctantly.

It's really, really hard to find American made stuff any more, even if you're willing to pay for it. I have a few go to website for certain things, but for most things it's almost impossible to find things made in America. Valid criticism, but try it before you start hatin'. It's very time consuming and extremely inconvenient to buy made in America all the time. Off the top of my head, I can't even think of a blender you might buy that's made in USA.

well...to be fair, right wingers love what they THINK is capitalism. but they aren't actually worshipping 'capitalism', they're worshipping a mutant version of corporatism that's lying its ass off in order to get people to vote for and protect it.

what's really weird is when the GOP tries to blend their asinine economic theories with christianity. the Roman Catholic Church called out Ryan on his budget last week and half my conservative friends spent the week trying to ignore a bunch of clergy telling them that their economic policies were not even remotely in line with the teachings of Jesus Christ.

FTA:

Mr. Obama "wants our country to follow Europe into bankruptcy. He wants to demonize prosperity," said Patti Weaver, a local Tea Party leader.

They're senile and/or stupid?

Who they are: Assholes.
Why they're there: The Republican party hired them as props.

You must admit, it's pretty unambiguous.

Political tafurs, I'm tellin' you. The GOP funded them, trained some of them, and unleashed them hoping to sway moderates and spread agitprop. They're running wild now, doing as much damage to the GOP as to anyone else in this election cycle, even as the GOP struggles to keep them pointed at the GOP's enemies.

Friggin' hilarious.
