Once, when I was in college and living in a dorm, my friend who stayed in the room across from me had her boyfriend over. But there was a curfew, and he wasn't supposed to stay overnight. So the next day when she went to class, he was too scared to come out so he sh*t in her trashcan. One day I'd like to see a toucan in real life.

AkaDad: That's the last thing a Commander-in-Chief should do.

It's ok if its the REAL Commander-in-Chief doing it who has real military experience and leadership (ie. Bush and Romney). We all know that Obama is not a legitimate commander in chief because, unlike Bush and Romney, he went to a cushy Ivy-league school and had his daddy's money keep him from real military service. Where do you think Obama was during the Vietnam war?? He was hiding from military service, just like a scared French person would. He was probably using that time to read up on his wonko religion at the same time, or worse yet, trying to convert other people to it.

... so vote Republican for real military leadership.

no, he's saying that the President needs to stop trying to baby our great veterans, who can handle anything and everything thrown their way, because they've been in combat, or something. Really.

So eliminate the VA, GI Bill, and every known program that benefits veterans, then.

So that would make the VA, GI, N/A?

gimmegimme: Sgt Otter: ssa5: Does FOX just find the most pathetic losers and hire them?

Well, let's take a look at their military correspondents:

Geraldo Rivera: Never served, was ejected from the embedded reporter pool for drawing maps of classified U.S. troop movements on live TV.

Michael Yon: Thrown out of the Army for killing a guy in a bar fight. Never saw combat. Claims he found advanced secret weapons and WMDs while served as an embedded reporter in Iraq. The U.S. military tactfully stated that they were unable to confirm his allegations.

Matt Sanchez: Thrown out of the Marine Corps Reserve for doing gay porn. Never saw combat.

William Boykin: Was forced into retirement after making numerous derogatory comments about Islam, while in uniform. Claims he saw demons attacking U.S. troops in Somalia. Was locked out of his headquarters by his own men after they became concerned about his mental instability. Has been permanently banned from all of his former unit's reunion functions.

Oliver North: By all account, an excellent platoon leader in Vietnam. Later resigned in disgrace due to his deep involvement in the Iran-Contra scandal.

"Deep involvement" seems too mild a description for my taste.

//Benedict Arnold was also a great leader for the Americans.

Obligatory anytime we mention Ollie North

Hey, if you survived the war, that means you can never be conned for the rest of your life. No one should be looking out for our soldiers. That's just unAmerican. This is why the GOP consistently votes against things that helps the troops and their families. The GOP knows it would be an INSULT to suggest that a soldier who lost his limb might need help. No sirree, a soldier without a leg still has bootstraps, and he can pick himself up by them.

And, by the law of inverse relations, this is why billionaires and members of congress need all kinds of financial benefits. The vast majority of them have never had the benefit of fighting a war, so that is why they need our help.
