Hobodeluxe: Aar1012: Fox News was on in the break room at work yesterday. They shared a quote from John McCain about the death of Bin Laden

"Shame on Barack Obama for diminishing the memory of September 11th and the killing of Osama bin Laden by turning it into a cheap political attack ad"

I nearly fell to the floor as I remembered an ad from 2004

I remember the Republican National Convention in 08 for McCain/Palin and the film they showed on that huge screen with all the "real 'Mericans" bathing in a Jingoistic bloodbath watching the towers fall and people jumping out of the buildings.

And I remember how when Obama had a plan to get bin Laden the http://www.dailykos.com/story/2011/05/02/972424/-Obama-promised-to-ge t -bin-Laden-McCain-disagreed-Obama-won-And-bin-Laden-s-dead- .

and now that Obama has done what they couldn't and wouldn't do. Now that's proven that he is much better at security and military directing. Now that he has a huge string of successes in that area and taken their talking point from them they don't think it's fair for him to talk about it.

Whaahh!!!! No Fair!!!!

Bravo.

I like how McCain and Palin kept blabbering on about Iraq being central war on terror. Oopsie

Right. Asshole.

After ten eight years of publicly reveling in, and politically profiting from its own military incompetence in responding to the worst terrorist attack in world history, the right now says it is off limits for Obama to brag about one of his administration's historic achievements.

Conservatives: do you have even the vaguest sense of irony? Sweet Jesus, how did you get to be so stupid?

2012-04-28 01:40:20 PM

WTF Indeed: I can't tell which is bigger; the hole in Fox News' logic or the hole in Bin Laden's skull?

Bigger by volume or mass? The holes in Fox's logic's are certainly more massive, but they've probably collapsed into a singularity by now.

Ug. Originally wrote "nearly ten years," changed it to "eight years." Missed deleting the ten. Pardon me.

Rachel Maddow: "If Karl Rove makes the encyclopedia of modern political
science, this is the thing that will be in the little paragraph under his
little picture. Take whatever your greatest weakness is and turn it
against your opponent."

Which explains perfectly why the latest ad from Rove's Super-PAC claims that Obama is "too cool" to be president

AkaDad: That's the last thing a Commander-in-Chief should do.

It's ok if its the REAL Commander-in-Chief doing it who has real military experience and leadership (ie. Bush and Romney). We all know that Obama is not a legitimate commander in chief because, unlike Bush and Romney, he went to a cushy Ivy-league school and had his daddy's money keep him from real military service. Where do you think Obama was during the Vietnam war?? He was hiding from military service, just like a scared French person would. He was probably using that time to read up on his wonko religion at the same time, or worse yet, trying to convert other people to it.

... so vote Republican for real military leadership.

Well done! The bit about the French is a little over the top, but it's otherwise expertly crafted with its nice collection of revisionisms and inaccuracies. Almost had me sputtering back at you over Obama's age when the war ended.

Once, when I was in college and living in a dorm, my friend who stayed in the room across from me had her boyfriend over. But there was a curfew, and he wasn't supposed to stay overnight. So the next day when she went to class, he was too scared to come out so he sh*t in her trashcan. One day I'd like to see a toucan in real life.

Amish Tech Support: Fox news is a shallow, jingoistic, materialist news outlet. It seems to appeal to simple uncomplicated humans who are impressed by pretty American flags and shiny objects.

As soon as our space fleet is complete, the higher end of human evolution can start again in the Dagobah system. Leaving them here to rot.

It's only 20 light years away, if we can crack close to light speed travel I should still be alive on arrival and my kids will have a brand new planet to start with.

Religion is banned on new Earth so zealots need not apply. (Spirituality is fine and a personal right, but no "orginized" religous groups) because I said so and I have King in my handle.

Heh, it was hysterical. I walked in the dorm wing with a couple other residents (each wing had a key), and we all halted... I said, "Dude, does it smell like shiat in here to you?" Everyone was gagging. The worst part about it was that the bathroom was literally about a yard away from her door; he could've just made a surreptitious leap.

I'm not voting for Obama (nor Moneytron) but it is complete bullshiat to say that he uses the military as a photo op. He has enacted an initiative to end homelessness in veterans by 2015. The First Lady has propounded and initiative to get veterans employment.

Bush let some amputees go jogging with him.
