Fox News was on in the break room at work yesterday. They shared a quote from John McCain about the death of Bin Laden

"Shame on Barack Obama for diminishing the memory of September 11th and the killing of Osama bin Laden by turning it into a cheap political attack ad"

I nearly fell to the floor as I remembered an ad from 2004

I can't tell which is bigger; the hole in Fox News' logic or the hole in Bin Laden's skull?

WTF Indeed: I can't tell which is bigger; the hole in Fox News' logic or the hole in Bin Laden's skull?

The logic one. Bin laden would have to have had his head removed via tomahawk to compare.

Sometimes I get the feeling that everyone is a talking head now, and there's no one left to listen.

Is a Fox News anchor actually coming out against the government enforcing laws on the books to help veterans who are being illegally discriminated against?

Wow, I thought you were kidding:

"These heroic men and women do more for freedom, more for America in a day, than you will ever do, sir," Bolling said. "Don't insult them by talking about schools preying on them. They take live rounds. They deal with roadside bombs. They risk their lives, sir. They'll be OK with Dean Wormer."

Bolling went on to castigate Obama for what he perceived to be a campaign speech with soldiers as a backdrop.

"And by the way, how about you stop insulting Americans who see right through you while you deliver a left-wing campaign speech while pretending to give a damn about their service?" he continued.

What an asshole. Meanwhile: President Obama, Michelle Obama Receive Highest Award In Homeless Veteran Advocacy

Barack Obama is tackling the issue with his "Opening Doors: Federal Strategic Plan to Prevent and End Homelessness," an initiative that aims to end chronic and veteran homelessness by 2015. He's working to meet this goal by mainstreaming housing, health, education and human service programs.

On any given night last January, 67,495 homeless veterans were sleeping on the streets, a 56 percent decline since the president took office, according to the Annual Homelessness Assessment Report to Congress.

"Under the leadership of President Obama, we are witnessing unprecedented national unity in the campaign to end and prevent veteran homelessness," Patrick Ryan, Chairman of the NCHV Board of Directors, said in a press release. "The progress we have seen from the federal agencies, the Congress, the community partners NCHV represents, and the American people in just the last three years give rise to the expectation that this campaign will succeed."

So kindly fark off.

"It's not fair! Obama actually accomplished what Bush only promised to do, and we have to watch Obama flaunt success, instead of Bush claiming success while flaunting... nothing, so we must castigate Obama lest our viewers start to associate with him!"

Suck it, Fox. 2012 is going to be painful as hell, as you realize that not only is Obama going to win a second term, but that the Republicans are probably going to lose control of Congress, thanks to their obstinate intransigence on doing anything that may make a Democrat look good and their bizarre determination to turn America into the Christian equivalent of Egypt.

I remember the Republican National Convention in 08 for McCain/Palin and the film they showed on that huge screen with all the "real 'Mericans" bathing in a Jingoistic bloodbath watching the towers fall and people jumping out of the buildings.

And I remember how when Obama had a plan to get bin Laden the http://www.dailykos.com/story/2011/05/02/972424/-Obama-promised-to-ge t -bin-Laden-McCain-disagreed-Obama-won-And-bin-Laden-s-dead- .

and now that Obama has done what they couldn't and wouldn't do. Now that's proven that he is much better at security and military directing. Now that he has a huge string of successes in that area and taken their talking point from them they don't think it's fair for him to talk about it.

Hey, if you survived the war, that means you can never be conned for the rest of your life. No one should be looking out for our soldiers. That's just unAmerican. This is why the GOP consistently votes against things that helps the troops and their families. The GOP knows it would be an INSULT to suggest that a soldier who lost his limb might need help. No sirree, a soldier without a leg still has bootstraps, and he can pick himself up by them.

And, by the law of inverse relations, this is why billionaires and members of congress need all kinds of financial benefits. The vast majority of them have never had the benefit of fighting a war, so that is why they need our help.
