Corporate Self: I seem more and more people are adopting a "money trumps all" worldview.

People used to want to leave a better world for their children. Now, they just want to maintain their McMansion lifestyles at any cost and fark the lazy kids.

I often wonder why the Boomer ethics eroded so much from those of their parents. I guess the answer lies in that their parent knew hardship and appreciated what they had. Their children grew up in the 50s/60s, the most prosperous era in modern times. Spoiled and entitled they seem value nothing and for all their talk of "personal responsibility" seem to have no trouble blaming all of their failures on everyone else (illegals, gays, muslims) except themselves.

Now, since they are also the most populous generation they will do whatever it takes to maintain their fantasy even if it means leaving their ancestors with mountains of debt and a poisoned planet.

To put it simply, there's a reason Tom Wolfe dubbed them the "Me Generation" (I find it amusing how they used the same title for the "Millenials", even though it's undeserved).

This is the generation, who is defined primarily by their self-involved qualities. Is there any surprise that they perfected the "I got mine. Fark you!!!" mentality.

I've seen what happens when bee problems are ignored... if there's any justice in the world, this is what Monsanto will look like in a few months:
