Weak headline, and a six-sentence article?

This headline could've been so much more.

Think "flushing Lindsey's last 8-ball" when you think about taking the phone away from these little farks.

He's charged with unlawful mischief.

When you cross that line between lawful mischief and unlawful michief, the butthurt begins.

I wonder if "Teen Sledgehammer Rampage" would play as a double feature with "Little Tortilla Boy."

See, if you want me to read something in someone's voice - identifying the 'someone' AFTER I read it is not really the way to go.

I read that in Don LaFontaine's voice. That's so meta.

Unless it starts with "In a world where..." there's no reason to read it in Don LaFontaine's voice.

That's like saying "you just read that in Professor Farnsworth's voice" but started with something other than "Good news..."

In a world where people don't remember Don LaFontaine...

Mugato: Think "flushing Lindsey's last 8-ball" when you think about taking the phone away from these little farks.

I'm sure there were other issues going on in that household before the phone shut-off incident.

That's a sledgehammer to the 15-year-old's cellphone. In full view of said teenager, or course.

Having once been part of a UT2k4 league that made me LOL.

/Ma-Ma-Ma-Ma-MONSTER KILL!!!
//only got a monster kill a few times in my UT life.
///Was usually more of a FLACK MONKEY!!!

I admittedly submitted this with a much, much lamer headline.

2012-04-27 10:02:18 AM
I actually went back to read it again and still didn't read it in his voice. Bad subby, no greenli...oh. Well...fark.

Kids these days don't get to play with sledgehammers enough. Once you get one of those bad boys in your hands, you feel like a superhero, able to smash things that previously seemed indestructible. Everyone should do a sledgehammer rampage.

2012-04-27 10:07:58 AM
Actually subby, I read that in LeVar Burton's voice.

2012-04-27 10:08:07 AM
He's been watching too many Avengers trailers.

2012-04-27 10:10:18 AM
Sheesh...something has gone very, very wrong in our world when kids destroy their home and will even go as far as killing their parents over their cellphone or video game consoles being taken away.

If I ever have kids I have a hard time justifying even giving them a cellphone until they are 15 (and can drive) and even then with limited access and no camera on it. Hopefully I can keep them busy with sports, 4H, clubs, and other activities requiring human interaction so they don't feel the need to attach themselves so emotionally to a piece of technology.

And one of the sentences is "It happened Wednesday."

But isn't every teenager entitled to a cellphone? It's his right. The parents destroyed his peer group interface dynamics, it's all their fault, the kid should take them to court.

2012-04-27 10:14:52 AM
I don't know who Don LaFontaine is, so I read it in Pat LaFontaine's voice. Is that OK?

Crewmannumber6: I don't know who Don LaFontaine is so, no I didn't

If you saw a movie trailer made before 2008, you've heard his voice.

2012-04-27 10:18:40 AM
So after he died, Don LaFontaine started sounding like David Rasche? This makes Beyond Belief Fact or Fiction reruns kind of awkward.

2012-04-27 10:19:57 AM
Don LaFontaine's voice doesn't sound like it used to. Nowadays it sounds dirty and muffled, like he's not even opening his mouth.

I bet that kid is happy to be in jail and away from his father.

In a world... where cellphones are lost at the whim of adults... one teen... will decide... to take the law... into his own hands.

/You just read THAT in Don LaFontaine's voice.

The paper quoted him as having said, "Trust me, I know what I'm doing" before going on his rampage.

Smoky Dragon Dish: He's charged with unlawful mischief.

When you cross that line between lawful mischief and unlawful michief, the butthurt begins.

I was going to ask what "lawful mischief" looked like, because I'd really like to do some...

Unlawful mischief, however... that kind of trouble I don't need.

why is it everytime i read something like this, it makes me feel old at 26? I didn't know anyone that had a cell phone when i was a teenager. If my n64 and playstation got taken away, accept it, get over it and don't do stupid crap again to get it taken away...then again there may be a direct correlation of respecting my dad because i got my ass whooped when I was younger...soo respect from fear of pain was instilled in me.
