Only because I was watching the game out of the corner of my eye as I was writing a paper, and just as I finished I saw the game heading to OT. When NHL posts it, I'll update this. For now, all we know is PHX/NSH opens Friday-Sunday, STL/LA opens Saturday-Monday, and strong rumor that NYR/WAS opens Saturday afternoon

I was hoping to see Florida and Ottawa advance, especially the former. But this post-season of upsets couldn't be perfect. Ah, well. At least from the West we are guaranteed a team that has never won it all before will be playing in the SCF. Was hoping to stack those odds in the East, too.

Intriguing match-ups coming up. Philly/NJ could be a great series, but after watching the Flyers against the Pens, they are probably doomed so long as Brodeur doesn't fall apart. Heck, even if he's just mundane they are probably doomed. I wanted the Washington/NY match-up in the 1st round, as I think they go well together.

In the West, St. Louis/LA could go 7 with all the games ending 1-0 in 2OT. Heck, same for Phoenix/Nash, though in that one I expect the Preds to advance. Here's hoping they meet LA in the WCF.
