It's ridiculous to say that even the best parents can monitor what their kids are viewing on a TV or computer 100% of the time.

And it's insane to think a V-chip for computers will stop them from seeing porn. Kids understand technology far better than adults do, and it's a hell of a lot more intuitive for them. I guarantee they'll figure out how to break it in a week tops.

This sounds like a great plan. I'm sure there's a long list of things we can mandate to force our country into being perfectly prosperous and moral.

All TVs sold in the US are required to have the V-chip installed by law, so that is a quite valid comparison, IMHO.

So who decides which sites get filtere?

Could it be used to block non-pr0n sites?

Do manufacturers decide or do sites have to willingly comply and add some sort of flag to their sites?

Is it possible this could be used to block the sites of the manufacturers competitors?

What about international sites?

I have tried to hold back on responding to any of you who even use the term "libtard" but since you are continuously typing, I'll bite for once.

What you are insinuating is the exact same kind of mentality that I personally abhor. It's not about monitoring or constantly keeping tabs on what your kids are doing. Your leading questions about what would you do to "control" your kids is, right away, the wrong way to do it. You're forgetting (or deliberately ignoring) about communication and early education on what's right and wrong. I grew up around violent television and video games all my life, and I didn't turn into a Columbine-like death machine, not because my parents hid away the R-rated movies and porn, but they taught me early on what was reality and what wasn't.
