I always preferred the "arm of an NFL QB, face of the high school AV club" line about Luck.

Redskins take RG3, double derrrr.

2012-04-26 08:13:23 PM
For dicks sake I have 10 min till I have to go hurry up.

2012-04-26 08:13:27 PM

I was hoping for a "Robert Griffin Junior the third" reference

I'm not convinced that RG3 is going to be a good NFL QB.

neapoi: Chris Berman is sports Dick Clark.

Don't insult Dick Clark like that, he was still less annoying and a better host after the stroke than Berman's been in decades.

9beers: I'm not convinced that RG3 is going to be a good NFL QB.

I don't think he is worth what they gave up for him.

I never thought someone from my old high school would go number one in the NFL draft.

God, they sucked back in the day.

Tom Brady the paperboy: great_tigers: Trade to Pats!!!!!

Minnesota traded the pick.

If Minnesota (or anyone that may trade up to 4) takes Claiborne, I riot.

Is the crowd going the cheer for anyone?

To Cleveland, not New England.

IAmRight: Tom Brady the paperboy: The draft begins with the third pick. Rumor has it Big Bill is trading up to 12 to get someone. Hopefilly its that BC LB

That's what I heard, too. Would love NE's 1st-rounders. Then pick up a couple of pass-rushers. We're damn near the 49ers' level, pretty much took the lead in the QB slot, just need some people to pressure QBs and probably some better targets (but they won't be available - gonna have to count on someone just randomly panning out).

Pretty much took the lead in the QB slot? With Kolb JR? I beg to differ.

Rush Mountmore: Epiphany: Rush Mountmore: Jim from Saint Paul: Epiphany: That and the fact that the 49ers don't have any real needs.

A special teams retuner who doesn't choke under pressure?

Quarterback.

They already have their QB of the future on their roster, and also have a QB that was a fumbled punt away from the Super Bowl (and led a farkload of 4th Quarter comebacks last season, including twice against the Saints). So yeah, QB isn't a need area for them, and would only be if they had a shot at Luck or RGIII (which they don't)

I can only hope "of the future" means Kap.
"4th quarter comeback" means nothing if you blow for 3 quarters :)

Of the future does mean Kap. And the only game they really blew in for nearly three quarters was the Eagles game, and that was a spectacular comeback. Mostly it was "kick field goals and grind the game out then lead a 4th Q comeback if the other team could score on the best defense in the NFL"

eddievercetti: ESPN or NFL Network, who has the better coverage?

No Kiper on NFL.com. So... NFL.com all the way.

Nobody thought of having a hotpress before this year?

NY picks ... maybe

Heh.

Nike is making the jerseys as the picks come in.

Also, RG3 is a better speaker than Luck. Luck's a dork.

Yeah... I suppose I only was intending to reference his longevity. I feel like I could turn on ESPN in 20 years and see 900 year old Chris Berman behind the desk.

God I love NFL Network...not so pretentious.

Jon "here, let's show you a bunch of plays that RG3 will never run in Washington!" Gruden.

I have a soft spot in my heart for Berman, but he's been irritating for the last 20 years or so.

Epiphany: Pretty much took the lead in the QB slot? With Kolb JR? I beg to differ.

Kolb isn't half the QB Flynn is. Kolb sucked after he got injured the first time and everyone ignored it. Flynn set records and hasn't had a bad game as a starter, and he didn't get injured. The two couldn't be more dissimilar. But you have to convince yourself the Seahawks aren't a threat, so okay.

Did RG3s hat even fit him?

Indeed. I was also wrong on Cam, so who knows. Would you give up two 1's, swap two for six and a two for Cam?

Cleveland Browns take Trent Richardson, RB, Alabama.

Ok, so Cleveland gives up...4 picks in this year's draft to draft Richardson...which Minnesota at #3 did NOT want. Cleveland was at pick #4.

Am I the only one who thinks that was a dumbass move?

No... that's pretty much the consensus.

2012-04-26 08:21:35 PM
Was Minnesota even considering Trent? Or was MN fielding offers from other teams?

If you are not a Browns fan, it was a silly move.
