Wow, I didn't expect that to happen

2012-04-26 08:06:44 PM
Lol, Colts going to milk the entire clock? Because you know, maybe the Packers will panic and offer them Aaron Rodgers and Clay Mathews?

2012-04-26 08:06:51 PM
I like them showing the war room as the guy starts making the call.

Also, what the hell is Eisen doing talking about all this viewer freindly bullsh*t? Do people get upset when the surprise is spoiled?

You know, I bet Goodell goes to bed tonight thinking...All of you farks who boo me will be spending all your hard earned money on tickets, gear, watching games on TV, so fark you! Muhuhuhahahahaha

Really Mom? The Pin? Right now? Really?

That would have been awesome if they took RGIII

2012-04-26 08:07:05 PM

Epiphany: Already in the thread talking down other peoples hopes and dreams. Good to see you. Who do you hope the Seahawks pick?

I didn't follow college football all that closely last year - just want someone as a DE/rushing LB.

And then I want our O-Line to f*cking stay healthy for once so we don't have to worry about drafting more of 'em. Then we can worry about WR at some point.

Gunny Highway: CavalierEternal: Gunny Highway: CavalierEternal: Gunny Highway: What is the Browns angle here?

To summarize what I said above:

*Bucs and Jets rumored to be pushing hard for trade to get T-Rich at #3
*Browns had 13 picks in this draft
*Browns gave up three later picks to make sure they got Richardson.
*Browns still have 10 draft picks and are now guaranteed their franchise RB

And you like this move?

Very much. We gave up 3 late picks who were long shots to make the team anyway in exchange for the 100% guarantee of the guy we covet.

Did Minnesota have any interest in Richardson?

No, but there were teams pushing hard to get their pick. Cleveland just made sure nobody did.

2012-04-26 08:07:30 PM

oh_please: Does Luck look like Jerry Louis doing his Chinaman impression, or is it just me?

Brilliant.

Luckface has some potential.

Huge RG3 chant.

Their audio keeps cutting out - I wonder if they're having to hit the dump button because of fan-yelled obscenities?

Rush Mountmore: Jim from Saint Paul: Epiphany: That and the fact that the 49ers don't have any real needs.

A special teams retuner who doesn't choke under pressure?

Quarterback.

They already have their QB of the future on their roster, and also have a QB that was a fumbled punt away from the Super Bowl (and led a farkload of 4th Quarter comebacks last season, including twice against the Saints). So yeah, QB isn't a need area for them, and would only be if they had a shot at Luck or RGIII (which they don't)

2012-04-26 08:08:23 PM
Its taking longer for them to take the damn pictures than it did to make the pick!

Got ya. I dont have a team in football but I pull for the Browns. So I hope you your and their sake this works out.

The draft begins with the third pick. Rumor has it Big Bill is trading up to 12 to get someone. Hopefilly its that BC LB

Still rooting for the Redskins to accidentally run out the clock and lose their pick.

/holy sh*t how happy would the Browns be to trade the No. 3?
//to the Redskins for another 2 first-rounders lmao

2012-04-26 08:08:52 PM
Lol @ browns

Seriously. WTF is that about.

2012-04-26 08:09:06 PM

jayhawk88: DaFlava737: Tannehill in the top 10 would be such a joke.

Can you imagine what he's going to look like for Miami next year if they throw him out there? Shades of Akili Smith.

Al Smith?

That's what I heard, too. Would love NE's 1st-rounders. Then pick up a couple of pass-rushers. We're damn near the 49ers' level, pretty much took the lead in the QB slot, just need some people to pressure QBs and probably some better targets (but they won't be available - gonna have to count on someone just randomly panning out).

I can only hope "of the future" means Kap.
"4th quarter comeback" means nothing if you blow for 3 quarters :)

2012-04-26 08:12:17 PM
Did they just compare RG3 to Ryan Leaf?

I was just thinking how funny that interview with him would look if he turns out to be a huge bust.

geom_00: Epiphany: geom_00: I have a really really stupid question. What is the difference between a wide receiver, and a wide out?

Sorry

Nothing. Although some old timer will come in here and explain the nuances to you if there are any.

Thanks!

Oh my GOD! INDY IS TAKING LUCK

Wide reciever refers to the actual position (like QB, RB WR etc)

Wide out (along with Split End) refers a wide reciever on the line of scrimmage that is the furthest from the center on their side, though colloquially, the 2 terms are interchangable

Chris Berman is sports Dick Clark.
