We had a cat once named Ray Lewis in college.

Gunny Highway: What is the Browns angle here?

Obtuse

I'm so excited to see who Indy chooses.

The lulz won't be the same without Al Davis here.

Gunny Highway: What is the Browns angle here?

To summarize what I said above:

*Bucs and Jets rumored to be pushing hard for trade to get T-Rich at #3
*Browns had 13 picks in this draft
*Browns gave up three later picks to make sure they got Richardson.
*Browns still have 10 draft picks and are now guaranteed their franchise RB

Tom Brady the paperboy: We had a cat once named Ray Lewis in college.

How many people did it stab?

They could have found somebody better than Ray Lewis to do that bit. Perhaps the Car Fox.

2012-04-26 08:01:21 PM

oh_please: I disagree. Barring injury, Richardson is a franchise back, period.

He has that level of talent, certainly. But with a godawful run defense, a pass defense that was statistically good simply because other teams didn't feel the need to throw, a questionable quarterback (to be generous), no real playmakers at receiver, and a line that was middle of the road protecting the passer & one of the worst by rushing stats (perhaps because of the backs, but hey)...

Plus with all three of your divisional rivals coming off of top 10 defensive efforts vs. the run, it just seems like Richardson is not the right pick for Cleveland this season.

The Jets' latest update to the Jets Draft Blunders video will be EPIC

Epiphany: That and the fact that the 49ers don't have any real needs.

A special teams retuner who doesn't choke under pressure?

Not sure, we only kept it for like 6 hours before we returned it to the girls we took it from.

DaFlava737: Terrible quality. Still funny

It doesn't say much for the Cam "Cam Cam" Cameron regime that random collections of fans had a better idea how his pick would turn out than he did.

Also, please don't let the Rams get Principal Blackman.

I have a really really stupid question. What is the difference between a wide receiver, and a wide out?

Sorry

Ted Ginn JR. They could use a backup returner though. No reason to draft one of those in the first round.

The killer thing with the Minn/Clev trade is they probably made them promise to take Trent instead of Capt. Wonderlic

So it cost Minnesota NOTHING.

Texans' practice squad guys go and become All-Pros when they play for Houston. Not so much when they go to Cleveland.

Enjoy at best, a good player at a non-value position.

Nothing. Although some old timer will come in here and explain the nuances to you if there are any.

Very much. We gave up 3 late picks who were long shots to make the team anyway in exchange for the 100% guarantee of the guy we covet.

Lotta Saints fans in the house tonight?

You know, it's so nice to see Nike get the contract. I honestly couldn't stand half the crap Reebok was putting out for certain players. Made the unis look obtuse or something.

Already in the thread talking down other peoples hopes and dreams. Good to see you. Who do you hope the Seahawks pick?

CavalierEternal: IAmRight: CavalierEternal: If they wanted Richardson enough, then losing three mid and late round picks (of which we have many) is worth it to make sure that rumors of the Jets and Buccaneers trying to get to #3 don't come to fruition.

If they want Richardson enough, that shows why they're the Browniest.

Because they wanted an elite-level upgrade at running back, a position we were so lacking in last year that we had Texans practice squad guys starting at one point?

Hey, Ogbonnaya was pretty good while he was here in houston, and to be fair to him, he was behind Arian Foster, Ben Tate (who seems to be 1 and 1a with foster) and Derrick Ward

/but yeah, the browns do suck

Yes Jon... Ken Dilger > Dallas Clark

He actually did fairly well here last year and I think he's got a better shot than Hardesty to be our #2 back next year.
