It's almost certain unless the Vikings trade out of #3 and f*ck us.

Tannehill as a stop-gap to Barkley next-year.

Or Landry Jones.

You know, whoever the flavor of the year is.

In case anyone missed it the first 235236 times, Justin Blackmon is friends with a dying girl

If the VIKINGS trade back and take a RB I will refuse to watch their games or talk about them till Rick Spielman is fired.

It would actually be wise of them to do so. AD will never be the same coming off a Lis Franc injury. Get another prolific runner and a weapon for Ponder in the 2nd, defense the rest of the way.

...

You. I don;t like you.

First, I am a Toby Gerhart guy. Second, why get another prolific runner when our OLine will just get him killed anyway.

Ok, I partially rescind my cynical tone as the girl is there with Blackmon in New York.

muck4doo: Chupacabra Sandwich: Go Cardinals

I always felt kind of bad for the Cards. Oldest franchise in the NFL by far, and not much to show for it.

Draft info aside....THIS.

Fun factoid, the very first north american iteration of a club that played 'football' we might recognize vaguely today was in 1898, and called the Cardinals. They were outside of Chicago at the time, IIRC.
They came and went a bit until 1918, and got together 'permanently' until 1920, where a couple visionaries named Lambeau and Halas came along....

Ahhh, history, and all that....

I'm normally as cynical as they come with the whole "athlete befriends a sick person, but totally not for PR!" angle, but that story actually got to me. Blackmon really seems to be a genuine guy, at least when it comes to that girl.

They are certainly trying to.

And this. 0.00% chance the Vikings draft a RB. Toby is a fine back up. RB is not even in the remote area of need. O line, corner, safety, WR, maybe D line are the options for this draft.

We got a lot of needs

On the contrary, I'm looking forward to seeing what teams do something stupid, like the Dolphins taking Tannehill in the top 10 or the Vikings/Browns/Bucs taking Claiborne in the top 5. The draft amuses me with teams making obvious tactical errors, although with a rookie wage scale in place it's far less damaging these days, therefore less funny.

I would like to take a moment to congratulate the Colts. They somehow found a way to draft the one non-Manning from the past 10 years that can replicate Manning-face.

Seriously, Luck gives interviews exactly as I would expect Manning to give them. Same head bob, similar wording to questions.

After that first interception, I hope to Jebus he has the same shake the head look at the ground disappointment.

Jubeebee: germ78: Jubeebee: Angelo was good at finding gems in rounds 3-5, and sucked ass at rounds 1 and 2.

Too bad the quality of players drafted drops significantly after round two. Would link to an article on fox sports about it, but I can't seem to find it.

Oh, I'm well aware that the gems Angelo did find were not exactly superstars. But the whole reason Bears fans were OK with the Cutler trade was because we knew that Angelo would throw away the first round picks anyway. But he could turn picks in rounds 3-5 into halfway decent starters (Knox, D.Manning, Melton, etc).

Knox was a great pickup - the kind of player that would bend over backwards to help the organization out.

As I understand it, this should cause confusion and disorientation for the Browns fan. But I think I have to pay a hefty fine and sit out the next five minutes of the thread.

It'll happen.. but it won't be an NFC South team you mentioned.

ESPN ticker - the Colts have picked first 6 times since 1967, which is the most of any team. Weird, wacky stuff, I did not know that.

WFT??? Either Cleveland really wants Kalil (smart!) or they really want Claiborne (not smart). If they draft Richardson or a WR it's a silly move.

Maybe the Harrison pic I posted caused confusion within the Browns front office, that trade is silly since Richardson was gonna be there at 4.

Lolololol!

All that misinformation about who we were gonna draft paid off. I feel like i won the lottery

The Browns were really scared of that one spot difference.

The Vikings really played up the "golly, we don't know who to draft....maybe we'll trade it to someone" angle...

A little dipsy-doo by the Minnesota front office there, I like it.

Well, we had two 4ths, two 5ths and three 7ths, so if that's true, then we really don't have much of a net loss.
