Yeah, and actually I think the news part is that they are harassing these guys. How did the "illegal lane change" (which I assume means without signaling which I'm sure we all see happen every day on the way to work) turn into pulling them over with search of the car? As mentioned above, probably some racial profiling. And then the guns were legal at the end of it all.

The cops just want arrests. They don't really care if the charges they use come from liberals or conservatives. Their job is to find criminals, and if they can't find them, make them.

I have a buddy who regularly takes 20+ handguns, rifles and hundreds of rounds of ammo to the range to shoot for the day. Many times he takes his kids too. We've often joked about the response he'd get if he were pulled over and the cops saw the firearms.

Two black men were stopped in Alabama and detained for carrying legal firearms.

They were also found to be black men in possession of a small amount of cash.

They were stopped again in Florida where officers were able to confirm that the suspects were indeed black, in legal possession of firearms, and possessing cash while being black. They were eventually let go with a warning about being black.

School resource officers in the Escambia County, Florida, area would be alerted to the fact that two black men are headed in their direction. The men are to be considered armed and dangerous black.

We really need to disarm all police officers, then they might begin treating the armed citizens with some respect.

I hope that agency gets a lawsuit.

Nobody ever came out of a gunfight wishing they didn't have so much ammo left over. The only time you can have too much ammo is when you are drowning or you are on fire.

You're right that it would be incredibly unusual to ever need a 30 round magazine for defense, but once you even need 1 round for defense you've already hit the bad luck jackpot - going a little overboard in that event can't hurt.

Here's a crazy notion: what if these guys were a pair of hit men whose cover was blown?

I own a 30 round clip for my Glock 19 and I mostly certainly don't use it for 'offense'. I use it primarily at the range to but in the event where I ever needed extra ammo it is there. Two 15rd magazines vs one 30rd. It's all the same. I would never bring it will my when I conceal/carry!

Glocks don't use clips.

It could be they just cashed out their bank account or they just sold some other guns, a car, a living room set...the list of legal reasons to have a large amount of cash in their car is endless. It doesn't always have to be drugs.
