We should be friends based on this alone. But don't murder pandas, we can split the two-pack I grabbed at Costco yesterday.

Nobody's advocating that it be consumed daily.

Actually.. when I was in first or second grade and growing pretty fast, I had a doctor recommend it as a "fun" source for some additional calcium.

/ his youngest daughter, who I went to school with and who always had to be on a _very_ strict diet because of a genetic disorder, almost went through the roof when I once mentioned her dad's recommendation some 15 or 20 years later. Good times. :)

I legitimately hate nutella. I've tried it multiple times and taste is too strong and way too sweet. Ugh.

give me doughnuts: Nutella on buttered toast.

Om-diggity-nom.

Try it on toaster waffles like Eggos, excellent! 2 waffles, butter one (sparingly), nutella on the other, put them together with nutella/butter sides facing each other...yummy little breakfast sammich you can take with you.

I ususally eat mine on the way to the gym for an hour on the tread mill and an hour on the weight machines. Honest!

Texture, to begin with--the frosting is much lighter and the Nutella, when frozen, actually forms a substance that's nearly solid but is just shavable. Thanks to the cocoa fats in it, it also melts deliciously like candy in your mouth when you freeze it. There's also the sugar ratio. In frosting, it's hard to eat much, but Nutella is just the right mix of sweet and nutty to be edible.

Also, I think Nutella has pure crack as an ingredient.

My daughter and I had helped a young lady clean out her pantry. The young lady was embarking on a lifestyle change as part of losing weight. There was a jar of Nutrella in the pantry, and as I had never tried it I had to give it a try.

It tasted like shiat. Yuck!

HA - you simpletons.

Want super deluxe awesome Nutella? Melt some nice dark chocolate and then mix it with the Nutella - then you have DARK CHOCOLATE NUTELLA. It's amazing. Although, making homemade nutella and then mixing nice dark chocolate with it would be better, but I don't know how to make nutella. It would take some trial and error to figure out how.

I just dont get this at all. Hazelnuts. Chocolate. Sugar. Whats not to like?!?! Or is there some genetic aversion to hazelnuts like there is with cilantro? I just cant understand anyone who things nutella is gross. Unless theyre confusing it with marmite, which while european, brown, and in a jar; is completely different.

Gyrfalcon: I'm going to market a soda that's 100% unnatural someday, if I can ever find anyone to make the stuff.

What is an unnatural ingredient? Hasn't every molecule ever formed existed in nature for a moment? And if we are going to say that unnatural means not created by natural processes then anything man mixes, cross-pollinates or selectively breeds is unnatural. So a natural soda would be almost impossible to make. Uranium!

My sister is like this health nut vegan hippy and she feeds her kids that crap all the time. I'm like "your just spreading processed sugar all over the kids food so they'll eat it" and she's all like "wah wah its healthy, It's European so it has to be good for you because Europeans are so much better than Americans". farking biatch is gonna give my nephews dabeetus.

So, being too stupid to read a perfectly honest and accurate nutrition label is worth $3 million now. Bankrupting pension funds and municipalities by bundling junk mortgages into complex financial instruments and having them rated as AAA to fool investors is still cool though.

Yep, nutella is close to icing alright.

I find it too sweet myself. don't really much care for it due to my taste buds feeling like they're been assaulted with sugar.

Even peanut butter without sugar is almost exactly the same so may as well go with a better taste. I remember downing a whole jar of it. Roommate hated me for a week. Haven't touched it since but man, when you smoke an indica and you have that around.. well lets put it this way:

Home made ice cream with, heavy whipping cream, oreos, twinkies, 1 bottle of nutella, hazelnuts, pieces of chocolate chips (semi sweet) = one gallon of the most heart stopping ice cream one would ever have. Normally one gallon goes for 2 stoned people, so that's almost 3000 calories alone.

Never in that ad to they say it is healthy. Not to mention the fact that they got attacked for not saying how much sugar was in it. When I watch a Reese's Big Cup ad, they make it look delicious, and never once mention how much sugar there is. But hey, free money is free money, right?

Sure, you have to be stupid to think that shiat is healthy. But that doesn't mean you can misrepresent your product to stupid people to manipulate them for profit.

Nutella is good, but not my favorite. It's too cloyingly sweet for me, but used sparingly in certain applications it can be very good.

Also, I don't know why people compare it to peanut butter, they're absolutely nothing alike. PB is more salty than sweet and tastes only of peanut -- the hazelnut taste in Nutella is extremely muted compared to the extremely sweet chocolate flavor, and it has virtually no saltiness about it at all.

Thank you. I hate the arbitrary designation "natural", nobody knows WTF it even means or has any reasonable, usable definition for the word. Furthermore, there is no reason to think that something "natural" is necessarily better than the alternative -- in fact it sometimes distinctly is NOT. For instance...

In food flavorings, the difference between "natural" and "artificial" is not at all in the chemical that causes the flavor, it is based on whether that chemical is obtained from the a naturally occurring source (no, "naturally flavored" orange soda doesn't mean it has orange juice in it). As it turns out, though, the process for deriving banana flavoring from actual bananas produces poisonous by-products that need to be removed (I believe it was arsenic?), whereas artificial banana flavor does not. They otherwise wind up with exactly the same flavor molecule. Now which one would YOU rather eat?

Costco sells giant vats of frozen profiteroles. Let a couple of those thaw for half an hour, then top with nutella. Mindbogglingly yummy.

Zeno-25: Nutella should have filed counter-suit against such frivolous claims about its advertising. Nutella is not responsible for some moron's inability to comprehend their advertising. No where in that commercial did they actually state that it was health food product, they merely displayed some common uses of their product as a condiment of healthy foods.

As evidenced by this thread, your average consumer is a complete moran who needs his hand held every time he/she visits the grocery store.
