came for the dumbasses making comments about pedophile priests. I knew I would not be disappointed. It really has no place here unless you have some proof against this particular priest.

Coming to a thread about a priest who recently died and commenting on pedophiles makes as much sense as the folks at the Westboro Baptist Church. Think about that the next time you get all self righteous about condemning the Westboro Baptist Church for protesting at funerals.

AdmirableSnackbar: You know what else he helped to keep secret?

Really? You have evidence of that?

Or are you simply defaming all Catholic Clergy?

Cymbal: Guilty by association.

If we're all guilty by association, then I want "credit by association." Whatever good this man did while he was alive, I want my share of credit because we're both Catholic.

If you're going to be an asshole and paint a collection of people with a broad brush, you can't just paint half, bigot. At least have some logical consistency to your bigotry. Or not. I'm sure you like having something in common with racists.

Super excitement. Now it's a party.
I'll bring the Guinness, you bring the VHS copy of "Buckaroo Banzai". The one taped off of T.V.. With all the great commercials.

no thanks, you are not the type of person who I would want to spend time with. You constantly repeating the word DERP over and over would be annoying.

wellreadneck: halfof33: This is an odd thread, filled with people who think that "guilty by association" is a good argument, rather than a raging logical and legal fallacy.

I guess I shouldn't bother waiting for the trolls to supply evidence?

How does the assumption that any person critical of the Catholic church is a Klan member differ from the assumption that any person supportive of said church is a pedophile enabler?

They don't differ, which is why I crossed the reference out. You think you are going to get anyone on the other side making the same concession?

Come Away with Me to The Fields of Like: SonOfSpam: Did a search - you're the first person in the thread to use the word pedophile. "The lady doth protest too much, methinks."
Yeah, same here. Kinda the only reason for my comment. Ask and ye shall receive.

1. Guilty by association. I don't see how anyone would willingly want to a part of an organization that has no intention of preventing its employees from raping their customers.

2. Let's just hope no boy-sized skeletons are lurking in his closet.

3. You know what else he helped to keep secret? (I am sure that you did not get this one)

4. Yup, you know it happens, you collect money from your followers to pay off court costs, lie and pontificate about homosexuals being evil... Need I go on?

you are as thick as the guy you responded to.

In any organization, there are good people and bad people. As someone who knew him at ISU (attended a couple retreats he led) Rev Ev was most definitely one of the good ones. He really knew how to connect with students and get them to think about what they do with their lives.

(And yes, I know this is fark, so someone will make the obligatory joke about that one)

Can you defame them more than they have defamed themselves?
