Yup. Racists will be racist and this makes them no less of a bruins fan nor does it make the decent bruins fans anything less because some racist who happens to like the same team tweets garbage.

All we have in common is the love of the team, shame the racists for being so but don't let a handful of people tarnish the image of a fan base.

Nana's Vibrator: bottsicus: Nana's Vibrator: mainstreet62: H31N0US: Boston is a diverse and racially tolerant city. Discuss.

I don't think Boston is racist. Quite the contrary, in fact.

Racist assholes tend to be friends with other racist assholes. It happens in real life, e-mail chains, Facebook, Twitter, you name it.

It seems to me that when a large group of people starts spouting off racist bullshiat in public, especially on the Internet with all it's anonymity, it further emboldens other racist dickheads to post as well, and unfortunately, it snowballs.

If the posters want to be outed as racist pieces of s*hit, so be it. I think it's unfair to paint an entire city with the racism brush, though.

I'd agree. We don't have hate groups up here and we don't have hate crimes. We have had concentrated areas of racism in the blue collar outskirts of Boston - mostly utilized as a red herring to get away with crime.
Who robbed you? It was a f'ing n*! (when it was really you and your brother-in-law)
Who killed your wife? It was a f'ing n*! (when it was really you.)

When trying to crack down on corrupt politicians in Boston, who did they go after and give up? 2 of the very few African Americans in Boston politics.
We could do better but we're not the South.

Sal DiMasi and Tim Cahill are African American?

You know I was writing about Wilkerson and Turner during their corruption stings.
(With DiMasi, you know it's pretty much a given that our speaker will be indicted for something. That Cahill thing was out of left field but I'm always glad when corrupt poli's are going down around here.)

Let us not forget Finneran!

it was actually just a slight on Obama but it woulda been to anyone in administration.

that's the fun part.

he was going to refuse any president's invitation because his problem was with the current economic practices and all that other "occupy" crap basically.

it coulda been President Whitey Mcwhiterson of Whitetown and he wasn't going there because he had a burr in his pants about the country.

Do I disagree with Thomas' politics? From what I can tell, I certainly do.

Do I want him traded? Hell no, that would be farking stupid. The guys is one of the elite goalies in the League who has proven he can play well in big games.

Anyone else see Thomas go over to a sad kid in the crowd and try and get them to smile immediately after the Caps scored in OT? Was it one of his kids or just some random kid in the stands?

Here's a video of it:

He had an amazing season last year, nobody could expect him to repeat on that. He wasn't bad this year, and it wasn't like he was getting tons of goal support from the guys infront of him this series. At his age, he could split more time with Rask next season and retire a Bruin. I don't know how many more seasons he has in him, it would be a shame to see him spend a year somewhere like Florida or Detroit.

1. Read the whole quote:

"I believe the Federal government has grown out of control, threatening the Rights, Liberties, and Property of the People.

This is being done at the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial level. This is in direct opposition to the Constitution and the Founding Fathers vision for the Federal government.

Because I believe this, today I exercised my right as a Free Citizen, and did not visit the White House. This was not about politics or party, as in my opinion both parties are responsible for the situation we are in as a country. This was about a choice I had to make as an INDIVIDUAL.

2. Obama is a member of the Federal Government. He is not the entire Federal governement. Nothing was ever said that specifically implicates Obama.

Kids are getting some attention... and not in the good way.

Capitals owner Ted Leonsis took his blog on Thursday to not only offer his support towards Ward, but to express his disgust with the comments.

"Shame on these folks who decided to take to their keyboards and show their ignorance and their racism and hate," Leonsis wrote. "What these people have said and done is unforgivable. I hope they are now publicly identified and pay a huge price for their beliefs. There should be zero tolerance for this kind of hate mongering. Their messages should now stay glued into the algorithms to place a forever warning and a mark upon these people and their actions. They shouldn't be able to escape their keystrokes.

The Bruins released a statement on Thursday afternoon denouncing the remarks made on social media.

"The Bruins are very disappointed by the racist comments that were made following the game last night," it read. "These classless, ignorant views are in no way a reflection of anyone associated with the Bruins organization."

I still don't believe all three branches of Gov are taking away Liberties, Rights, etc. to the point he didn't want to show up to the WH to celebrate his team's victory. If he can give us actual examples of the many liberties, rights, etc. that have been taking away, then we might agree with him.
