Behold... islam

If you were actually planning on doing this, why would you tell anyone?

The controversy about a husband having sex with his dead wife came about after a Moroccan cleric spoke about the issue in May 2011.
Zamzami Abdul Bari said that marriage remains valid even after death adding that a woman also too had the same right to engage in sex with her dead husband.

All right, then. As long as we're all equal here. Although I see a potential problem with trying to have sex with a dead man.

Someone go check it out and tell me if I'm wrong.

Egypt has been plagued with election troubles, keep that in mind.

The most common complaint is there's a large number of candidates who have NO history in the public eye and NO ONE knows who they are or what they stand for, yet there's a rushed demand for an immediate election. 1/4 of the population is illiterate. The free press itself is a "new" thing, and they haven't caught up with the practice of interviewing candidates.

It's scary as hell because they have an unusual amount of power in forging the new government. You may THINK that there's a disconnect in the US with what politicians promise and what they DO, but it's a whole different magnitude in Egypt right now. And the people ARE complaining about it.

And of course the population of any country coming out of a dictatorship will have a certain degree of political naivete, that religious rule will be free of corruption and pure of motive, that the government simply votes money to the people, etc.

I clicked the link expecting an article about a couple having sexy time in the airport or a bus station which, while inappropriate, could make for some funny.

This, I don't even...

The subject of a husband having sex with his dead wife arose in May 2011 when Moroccan cleric Zamzami Abdul Bari said marriage remains valid even after death.

He also said that women have the right to have sex with her dead husband, alarabiya.net reported.

Unless that husband died with an erection and rigor mortis quickly set in, I don't see that happening.

I'm at work so I can't, but look up "Angel Lust"

What if she is mostly dead. Is there an extension to the six hours?

ChrisDe: It will also see the minimum age of marriage lowered to 14 and the ridding of women's rights of getting education and employment.

Miss me yet?

Yep...and I called this.

Egyptian husbands will soon be legally allowed to have sex with their dead wives - for up to six hours after their death.

The controversial new law is part of a raft of measures being introduced by the Islamist-dominated parliament.

It will also see the minimum age of marriage lowered to 14 and the ridding of women's rights of getting education and employment.

I wish them well in their quest to join us in the 21st century, only 1,000 years to go. In the meantime they are making Christian Fundamentalists look like radical feminists.

After much debate, I have come up with the burning question for the man who wrote this bill....

Does persistent vegetative state count for dead? And are we limited to only 6 hours if the wife is in that condition?

Didn't Herodotus write how the ancient mummy makers would let young lady corpses ripen for a few days to discourage amorous undertakers?

Maybe it's an Egyptian thing.

Look, people, the law is needed so that men can know when it is appropriate to have sex with dead women and when it is not. Social conventions like "The Six-Hour Rule" are the glue that hold societies together.

Allright, this it's a daily fail article. It's obviously got some stiff opposition, and of it's accurate well reserved. But is it at all possible that this article is hyperbole? The result of a cold calculating political game? To my luddite mind I can't fathom any country seriously putting forth a bill for necrophilia. I mean pork is filthy and unclean but corpse sex is fine?

TFA says this is being pushed by the "Islamist dominated legislature." Hey, they may just be trying to show they're the religion of peace. And a cold, cold piece.

Just a friendly reminder for the team red/team blue cheerleaders to keep their demagoguery consistent for maximum effect. It's confusing for us regular jackoffs, when y'all can't keep your tropes and cliches straight.

Won't they have to rewrite wedding vows to "until six hours after death do you part" ?
