The Authorities have way too much time on their jizz stained hands.

You know if we quit paying these soulless yayhoos, they might have to find meaningful work instead of being taxpayer supported busybody nannies ...

Bid deal, when I was twelve I always walked around the house naked in a constant state of sex arousal. Didn't you?

well, it IS linked with autism. "internet use" and "autism" are both words, hence linked.

Fluorescent Testicle: FTFRetardedA: It has also been linked to mental disorders such as autism, attention deficit disorder and hyperactivity ...

1. Autism and true ADD/ADHD are genetic conditions.
2. Hyperactivity is normal for young children.
3. Susan Greenfield (if she exists) is officially too stupid to breathe.
4. It's the Daily Mail, so the whole story is probably made up anyway.

I mean, okay, but instead of medication, I literally treat the symptoms of my ADD by refreshing hi-content sites like Fark and 4chan, purposefully not using any sort of filter that would show me new content passively so that I have to check everything for updates - and at home I rotate in some dirty sites (jap doujin DDL sites). Using that as a dump for compulsiveness and repetition lets me streamline my work the way amphetamines used to, without the shakes that I started developing. I'm not saying it was phrased well but I think you'll have a hard time showing me that people with ADD or Autism are not more likely, on average, to engage in heavy internet use than someone without. It's very satisfying.

A lot of stuff in that article sounds ridiculously fake. I mean look at these lines:

'But it gave me funny feelings and the pictures started to stick in my head.'

'It still makes me think I might never have a proper girlfriend - because the pictures still come back to me sometimes. It make makes me want to shout, "Stop, stop." But sometimes they still won't go away.'

I guess the writer could be paraphrasing, but yeesh.

Link = correlation; I would assume that, if it's not just another Daily Fail, the causation is the other direction.

I think I would more concerned if my 13yo son wasn't looking at porn.

That being said, some in here are getting OCD with porn and should get help, but then there's other like:"When a girl he liked did not return his feelings, he told me: 'I feel like stabbing her.' He also threatened to kill himself because he felt he would never be able to have a normal relationship, and admitted he liked 'seeing women being hurt'. A particular scenario he enjoyed thinking about was a man grabbing a woman's throat and punching her in the face." who's just plain f'ed up and porn or no porn this kid would end up in jail at some point with an assault or murder charge.

Sure, people with autism or ADD/ADHD are more likely to use the Internet (I'm the last person you need to tell that to :P), but the idiot in the article was saying that Internet use causes autism and ADD/ADHD. Which is about as truthful and sensical as the whole vaccine thing.

"Oh who's NOT on that list these days?"

Every single one of us will have restraining orders and will be forced to be 500ft away from everyone else at all times.

Congress can then declare victory, as the human race dies out because no one could get close enough for procreation.

And what's with all the pictures of kids in the article? What are they models or actors or something? In any case, "Hey Timmy, I just saw you in an article about perverted kids, you farking pervert!".

I once met a guy who had acted in some true crime reenactment shows, Unsolved Mysteries or some such. He usually played the bad guy, and he'd been recognized several times for it, and not in a good way. He'd been reported to the police more than once for being the guy they were looking for. He was always amazed that people thought he was the actual sereal killer. Like they could get the real bad guy to come and act in the reenactment show for the purpose of solving the crimes he had committed.

These things happen later, though, after the memory starts getting fuzzy, and the the context gets lost in the hustle of day-to-day activities, so that the person recognizes the face, but doesn't specifically know from what show exactly.

There was a fark article about it last week:

Lots of aspies and high-functioning autistics seem to gravitate to the internet, that's hardly under dispute. The Mail is being the Fail by trying to turn that particular cause and effect on its head, though. Don't give them any mind, it's easier to look at the pictures and move on than to mentally digest the crap they write for the old luddites.

They'll have to close all of the schools, parks, and other community areas because everyone will have been forced to move away from them, completely depopulating large cities. Either that or buildings will be torn down, electrified fences will be erected in 1000 ft circles around them completely with barbed wire and guard towers to keep the sex offender zombies out of the pure areas.

Is that actually accurate? I always assumed they were seemingly overrepresented on account of not talking to people much face-to-face. Sort of like how the Internet seems to be unusually full of kinky people until you realize it's just full of average people who don't bring those things up offline.

If wanted criminals will fall for the "you've won $50!" scam, they will fall for getting cast on TV. It's worth a shot!

He took his laptop and his 16 year old son, sat him down like the kid and father in the picture and proceeded to show him his favorite free porn sites. It was a really bonding experience for the both of them.

Back in the 90's and early 00's you could barely throw a stone without hitting aspies (and furries, and kinks, and anime & gamer nerds, etc), because the various social misfits were the first to take up the internet in droves. Old Fark was a prime example. Now that it's turned into an everyone-and-their-dog social milieu that creates pop phenomena instead of just mocking it, they aren't as visible unless you go into the places where highly analytical OCD people are more likely to cluster, like online strategy game sites.

FTA: But because most parents are so uncomfortable with a child's developing sexuality, few warn them about porn before they see it - or can face up to the fact they might be watching it. As a result, children don't know that pornography is fiction and they naturally assume it's what grown-ups do. Because it's freely available, they think it must therefore be OK.

Good lord! Just be a parent! If you are too embarrassed talking to your children about sexual activity, then you probably shouldn't be having it yourself. I'm sure in days past (or if you live on a farm), children had very real exposure to sexual activity through observation, which probably lead to questions and blah blah blah. Answer questions honestly, and understand where your children are in their development as human beings. Babies do NOT come from storks, porn is something that they should be aware of, and masturbation, too. Do you really believe they should get all their education about this from public school - from children whose parents told them who knows what? They should be aware of what is going on, and you, as a parent, should have some idea of what stage of development your child is in. This is how your junk works. This is how you deal with it. If you are afraid of traumatizing your children or some such bullshiat, then you have no concept of what real trauma actually is.

Oddly, where I'm fairly computer security savvy, I am incredibly ignorant on tv parental controls (don't usually have cable tv). I had login passwords and website blocks for my computer. Sigh.

Made him pay for it. I wasn't paying a thousand bucks for him and his friends to circle jerk while I was at work. Also made the little bugger go over every inch of my living room with Lysol wipes. Ew.
