LiberalWeenie: Uh-huh. And how many more spinoffs of Ghost Hunters are they working on?

They still haven't done Ghost Storage Wars, where they contact the ghosts of people who have died and left behind storage lockers in order to figure out which lockers being auctioned have the best junk.

FirstNationalBastard: While I agree that WWE doesn't belong on a Sci-Fi channel, well, Siffy isn't a sci-fi channel anymore. Plus, what is two hours per week, with no replays, compared to the hours upon hours of ghost shows and car building shows and reality shows they have planned?

They should just do a show about wrestling ghosts.

The only thing I watch on that channel anymore is "Lost Girl". And that's not even original programming.

Ambivalence: SyFy....isn't that the name of an STD? Or is it the name of a recreational drug?

What is a SyFy?

IIRC, it's slang for "syphilis" in Poland.

MaudlinMutantMollusk: Siffy can f*ck right the hell off

/they betrayed their core audience and they deserve to go out of business

Is there a niche network left that hasn't?

Maybe Turner Classic Movies. I mean, TCM still airs commercial free classic movies. No reality shows, no original scripted dramas, just old movies.

Everything else?

TV Land and Nick at Nite don't air classic TV anymore. Game Show Network only falls back on running game shows when the reality shows they want to air bomb horribly. The only thing you learn about on The Learning Channel is 600 pound midgets with 24.4 children who put their toddlers in beauty contests. A&E Has nothing to do with Arts or Entertainment, unless you're entertained by Bounty Hunters who need interventions for hoarding stuff in their storage units. The History Channel only airs shows about Alien Cable Guys with Axes who Pawn ice trucks for Jesus after picking stuff from the end of the world. And the goddamned Weather Channel hardly shows you weather because they'd rather air the 1996 film Twister.

The niche network era is dead, replaced by 500 channels of homogenized nothing.

Oh boy! Another SyFy show not about sci-fi! I bet it'll be called "Ghost Wrestlers" or "Crap That Even Spike TV Passed On".

I swear to FSM, if Alphas gets canned to make room for more shows about dumbasses with cameras chasing shadows, I will punch the honchos at SyFy in the trachea.

Think of SyFy it as if it were a Jewish Nazi, or a black Klansman.

Siffy is something so ashamed of its heritage it has to disown it and become the opposite of what it really is.
