Yet, my script, "Date Rape at Domestic Violence Breast Cancer Camp" remains shelved at the Lifetime offices.

What's the freaking hold up? It's got everything the Lifetime audience would want.

If there is one person in this world that I absolutely can't stand.... its Nancy Grace.

Casting Jennie Garth for that is being way to generous to Nancy Grace.

Nancy Grace was funny on Raising Hope the last two weeks, it's the only time she's ever been tolerable.

Nancy Grace is good at making stuff up. It seems only natural she should write a novel.

I would never lie about that. I'd leave my wife and kid in a moment to be with her. Jennie was the first real tv crush I can remember back when my sister would pick 90210 to watch on our one TV. A man can dream...

Why do they have to go and ruin a perfectly good thing? I'll never look at Jennie again without thinking of Nancy Grace.

After all, what screams "Lifetime inspirational movie" more than a woman who profited off the death of her fiance, made baseless accusations against college students and was too chickenshiat to show up when they were exonerated, and bullied a kidnap victim.

Yeah, the woman from "Throw Momma from the Train" would be better, if she were still around.

Even better, Grace herself is producing. So - you know that's going to be a balanced view.

In other news, they're going to cast Shannon Dougherty as Paula Deen.

A balanced view of a novel? Is there an unbalanced view to show a novel in. I mean maybe they could get someone who hated the novel to make a shiatty movie out of it. That would be funny. But, I think you may be thinking of the word biography when you see the word novel.

First novel protagonists (is this her first?) often are based on the author.

Funny. Stephen King doesn't look like he was a confused, overweight teenage girl with a psychotic religious mother...

And you think that was his first novel? Or just his first published one. Cause...if you don't think he writes himself into his novels you're kinda broken.

He's clearly had some farked up life experiences. Hell, he wrote himself into the damned dark tower novels. Literally verbatim himself.

Ok. And that relates to what I'm saying in what way?

See what I'm saying is:

Even if I wrote a book about a guy who saved the world and based that character off of me, even giving the hero my name and saying in interviews that it's really me - How do you make an unbalanced movie version off a fictional novel? You could make a bad one that doesn't have any dialog in it and just focuses on chapters 6-12 of my book where I have a massive orgy with every woman on the planet thus stopping the evil plan of Dr. Enemy once and for all. Maybe you could call that unbalanced? But not in the way I took OP. Maybe it's something I'm missing. Again, it would be one thing if this were biographical (auto or otherwise) and we were relying on her and her alone to tell her story about who she is and what's she done and been through. But this is make believe.

See, I know what you're saying is true (I would take off the first novel part, personally) and all that, but what does that have to do with the price of a hobo handjob in a back alley?

What I actually think happened with OP over there is he saw Lifetime, Nancy Grace and Optioned and just assumed (since it's lifetime) that it would be Nancy Grace telling the story of Nancy Grace and all her troubles in becoming a pillar of earth. When in fact, it said Lifetime is making a novel written by Nancy Grace into a movie. And most importantly, a thing most posters seem to have forgotten is: Jennie Garth. God I crushed hard on her.

Same here. She was the Boobieser girl I hung up in my room.

I got older, she stayed hot. Life isn't always kind.
