The accused was stopped as he ran through the street naked and dripping wet, shouting "Eureka!" At first the officers hypothesized that he was a philosopher who had made an important discovery, but it transpired that he was a meth addict and thought he was in Eureka, California.

Wait, aren't there laws against "risking a catastrophe" or "suspicion of intent to nearly commit a near-crime"? Or are those only if you have something easily resold at the police auction with you?

I liked his gripe after he was convicted. Something along the lines of well, they claim they looked in my house and saw me naked, but if I'd looked in their house I'd still be the one getting charged.
