hubiestubert: Paul, for all his craziness at least believes in something...

No he doesn't. He's simply found a shtick and convinced a large number of fools to believe it.

True. Why else would him and his son be so Pro-Life that they'd use Big Government to enforce it? Seems a bit antithetical to their core message.

GAT_00: Why is Gingrich getting all the hate for staying in, yet Paul isn't?

Because one of them reminds you of a crazy old uncle who spouts gibberish at family get-togethers that boils your blood, but is harmless due to the fact that he does not have long to live in this plane of existence.....

.... while the other one is pure evil incarnate and deserves to be locked in a room with a pissed-off, reincarnated Bruce Lee who has been told that the guy was responsible for the death of his master.

You can't blame them for keeping up their book tour.

There are still PLENTY of Palin Americans out there with money to spend.

The nomination fight is over. Now team Obama can begin to paint Romney as an Arch Conservative who will repeal the 13th, 15th, and 19th amendments to the constitution.

Newt is just a foot note at this point.

/bonus points for anyone who can name those amendments without looking them up.

How dare team Obama paint Romney in the exact same way Romney has painted himself all through the primaries.

make me some tea: I was perusing a Tea Party forum topic on the subject of Gingrich last week, and a number of people posting there stated that they had just donated to his campaign, some for a second or third time.

I attempted to give them sound financial advice regarding that, but was rebuffed.

A fool and their money.........

Well that's Romney for you, for just about every issue, he's held every position. I just hope they don't find a video of his speech to the NAMBLA convention. THAT would be embarrassing.

Diogenes: And zero criticism from conservatives.

To be fair, that article the other day calling Newt's campaign the "worst ever" was critical of the taxpayer-funded secret service, and it was a conservative columnist, IIRC.

Where do you get off, Subby, Suggesting that SPEAKER Gingrich would say one thing and then do another? For shame.

Because Revolt and Revolution.

/seems to be the Paultard equivalent of Jesus and socialism
//a lot of my Paultard friends are posting images of RON PAUL with those words underneath.

I wasn't aware. Cheefully withdrawn!

As Newt should do.

Because his is a kinder, gentler deluded self-interest.

JusticeandIndependence: please: JusticeandIndependence: Diogenes: and he's got Secret Service coverage

I'm pretty sure this is false. Only Mitt has it

Gingrich's security detail costs tax payers $38,000 per day, according to a right-wing debt-activist NPR interviewed yesterday.

Holy cow it is true. I stand corrected. That is just an awful thing to do to taxpayers.

Ron Paul has declined secret service coverage for this very fact. He pays for his own security.

Gotta give to the old coot - that shows some character.

/absolutely not a Paultard.

Diogenes

I don't think he's gotten an infusion from him in a long time.

There have been no announcements, but FTA:

"...the ABC news report that Winning our Future has $5 million to spend on TV in North Carolina ..."

Spoken in a way to remind us all that there is no coordination between the SuperPAC and the campaign.

Now maybe that $5 mill came from grass roots donors, or a bake sale, or they discovered it in the cushions of the couch. But the amount is suspiciously similar to what his sugar daddy dropped in the past.

I think the strategy is to show Romney can't win in the south or with social conservatives, so that come '16 this talk of an electable moderate will be laughed at.

13th is ending of slavery. That's one I just know off the top of my head.

"...but then the 19th amendment struck down that restricted booth", sang schoolhouse rock in "Suffering until Sufferage", so that's giving women the right to vote.

Not looking up 15th. I am 2/3 clever and 1/3 dumb.

GAT_00: Why is Gingrich getting all the hate for staying in, yet Paul isn't?

Because Ron Paul is at least good for a laugh, whereas Newt tends to generate more of a "WTF?" response.

Edsel: When has Newt ever considered the needs of anyone but Newt?

When he represented the business interests of Georgia to steal businesses from other states - in a very non-conservative way.

The North keeps on winning over the South - Perry down, Cain down, and Gingrich waiting for a coup de grace. Will Gingrich be the one that leaves Mitt's March to the Convention alone, or does he have to invite total war upon himself like in SC?
