Forgot the score from the first game, Subs?

Anyway, can't wait! I'm still expecting Real to pull off a win, but I've got a bit of hope that Bayern can keep it together and pull of an amazing victory here.

I just want to congratulate Jon Obi Mikel on showing the world what a complete moron he is for suggesting the 4 players from coontski now banned for the final should be forgiven because "everyone wants to see the best players".

No one wants to see John Terry, unless he's in a fire.

Plus, how could he take an unjustified shot from behind like that at Terry. Because, you know, he's not that type of player.

Hah, apparently Ribery punched Robben in the locker room at half-time during the first leg.

Lets try this again.

Bayern can do this, but it will need to be ugly. Robben and Gomez will have to be flawless.

so bayern or real will be champs this year. should be fun. at least it won't be barca again.

Congrats Chelsea. Now just beat Madrid if Bayern can't get the job done and all will be forgiven.

Bayern need to do a Chelski and out think Madrid. With Jose in charge of Madrid thats going to be a hard task.

Not sure who to cheer for in this one. The prospect of facing Bayern at home or our former manager ... kind of a lose/lose situation. Regardless, hope it's another great match.

yeah, I've got one up from FirstRow and it's ok so far. I'm just at work and don't want the IT crew suddenly getting curious as to why I'm using a crapload of bandwidth. But then, they likely don't care. Ah well, thanks for the link.

This is going to be a long game. Madrid is already coming off strong and Bayern can't keep possession.

Penalty. You've gotta be kidding.

Fark CR...

Yes, unfortunately. Madrid isn't Barcelona, though. Now that they have the lead, they will be content to defend and look to hit Bayern on the break. They won't be throwing everyone forward with the tie in hand like Barcelona inexplicably did.

2012-04-25 02:58:12 PM
Got home during the penalty. this does not bode well.

Hell, they've got like 6.. now 7 players out even if they make it through? They haven't forgotten, they just don't care since they'll be bench-warming. I say they now switch up their strategy to "Fark Ronaldo."

Come home, 22 minutes, 0:2
Great.

2012-04-25 03:08:51 PM
fark me. Madrid going to do the La Liga/UCL double. C. Ronaldo going to win Ballon d'Or. The only way this season could get worse is if Italy somehow manage to win Euro 2012.

Just saw a replay. Gomez was only looking at the ball, didn't even glance at the goal, so it's no surprise that he hit the goalie.

Good defending by Pepe that was a good throw in from Bayern.

Pretty evenly matched, but I honestly like the chances being created by Bayern a bit more.

Despite being an animal, Pepe is still a good defender.

Gomez....ugh.

He seems to lack the ability to just hit it. He feels the need to set up for every shot. We call it "the move before the move" when we're fight-training, and it's the same sort of thing here.

While not too impressive today, he's been playing an awesome season and one of the main reasons that Gomez scores so much.
Just checked the top scorers of the Bundesliga: Ribery is listed at #2 with 12 goals and 20 assists (#1 in assists; the players at #2 have only 12).

So, when Pepe leaves the pitch, do all his teammates make fun of him for acting like a baby like that ("OW! My arm! My aaaaarm!!!"), or does everyone just chalk it up to 'you gotta do what you gotta do'?

Germans are way funnier than they get credit for.

Is there a reason Mueller doesn't play more for Bayern? I don't watch the Bundesliga, but he played like a boss in the World Cup. Seems like they could use his creativity right now.

Kroos is probably better in the center (and at defending) and on the wings there are Ribery (great season as I mentioned earlier) and Robben; also, Müller would miss the final if he gets a yellow while Robben and Ribery can tackle someone without having to fear that.

/ and while I'm writing, he's about to be subbed in

Though Bayern are playing much better right now. They just need to stop playing keep-away and actually go for goal.

Usually I don't like strikers defending. But at least today there's no chance Gomez would score an own goal, he'd either stumble it or put the ball in Neuer's hands.

Technically happened in both 2005 and 2007, since Liverpool and AC Milan didn't win their leagues in those years (only reason Milan didn't in 05 is because of the calciopolli scandal). As for overall stats, I have no idea.

Bayern really should've wrapped this up in normal time. Robben and Mario missed some howlers.

That should have been a straight red, and I'm confident that no top shelf team will want a locker room cancer like him. I think City is stuck with him until his contract runs out. I hope he wrecks their locker room completely.

Or do I have to wait until Saturday to talk about Stoke playing Swansea?
