I think the joke is that TMZ refers to him as "Scrubs" actor, when he was barely on the show, not that he isn't working.
That may be the joke, but when subby asks "Hey who the hell is this guy" it sort of implies that "this guy" hasn't been working and part of the joke rebounds on subby.
Huge scrubs fan here. His character was actually kind of funny in how unemotional he was. Elliot ended up breaking up with him because he was into some kinky sex thing, but we never find out what it was.
AdolfOliverPanties:I had to look him up on IMDb to see who he was. He had a four episode arc. That makes him a "Scrubs" actor? He was on 80+ episodes of "Ed." But then again, what the hell was "Ed?"
