This ad in the article solves my lifelong dilemma of not being able to see what I'm stabbing in the dark.

Is there anything you cant put a flashlight on and call it tactical>?

2012-04-24 02:10:58 PM
SmartCarry holster does a good job of letting me carry everything from a derringer to a P-89. Pocket carry is easier and more comfortable though when driving.

/Still need to find a holster for my Kimmel Kamper.

You should see the version with a scope.

This would be better solved with all states being open carry. Ivory handled pistols are a beautiful thing to behold. Don't hide them.

So why didn't the New York Times link get picked since this one mentions it as the source?

Hide? Screw that. Wear it proudly.

Why is this scary?

Why is this tagged, "Scary"? I think it's brilliant. Now if they'll only make a bra with a sleeve and 9mm in the shape of C-cups, THEN I'll be over the moon!!

Why the "scary" tag ???
Do you have a problem with people who are legally allowed to exercise their Second Amendment Rights ???
This is a great idea, which is far safer than "Mexican Carry" in the waistband without a holster. I carry a gun every day and concealment options grow fewer when the temps get warmer.

People carry guns on them? What is this, the 1880s?

2012-04-24 02:17:05 PM
That's why you need an OWB holster.

i figure if society ever breaks, who needs concealed weapon permits, and no one will be concealing the fact they're carrying.

Ah yes, the WAISTBAND! No one has EVER thought of that, how clever!

I really like the undertone that goes with every article I have seen on this subject.

It seems like one of the big industry talking points here is "you can dress nicely and not be gay." I have read a few articles in the past year, and all of them have had some sort of quote to the effect of: "I don't know how to dress all fashionable, but my woman says these clothes make me sexy."

This could be really really funny if it ends up being something that the gun culture takes to extreme. I can just picture it now, massive debates on the major weapons forums about fashion. Alongside AK vs AR and polymer vs metal we can now have American Eagle vs Hollister. TV tie ins. "The concealed carry eye for the unfashionable guy" ect.

If 5.11 and company are getting into the fashion market, maybe fashion accessory makers will get into the concealed carry market. In a year, will I have the option to choose between Maxpedition and Coach when shopping for a gun bag?

This is not new. It might be new to Woolrichs, but these types of 'clothing options' have been around for years.

I've had that conversation with Mrs. Argh before. The inevitable question of "Does this IWB holster make my ass look big?"

Evidently the answer is no with a PPS, more so with a full frame like my P99 or a Glockenade. Comp-Tac MTACs are awesome and worth the price.

More wussy than failmitter who thinks a pair of pants that accommodate concealed weapons easier is a scary thing?

My wife was looking at purses the other day and I held up one saying "Hey Baby! This one has a extra pocket on the outside for your pistol." It wasn't really all that good for pistol carry but I predict that you will see girl fashion to start more of this as well. A LOT more woman are carrying now days.

Finding clothes that work with concealed carry has never really been an issue for me. But then, I'm a dude. It's much tougher for women since most of women's clothing hugs the curves.

Nah, it's just the short ones carrying huge calibers that seem that way.

Psychological projection or projection bias is a psychological defense mechanism where a person subconsciously denies his or her own attributes, thoughts, and emotions, which are then ascribed to the outside world, usually to other people. Thus, projection involves imagining or projecting the belief that others originate those feelings.

And most American women have a lot of "curves" which are hugged by anything less than a tablecloth.

Galco makes a line of holster purses that are actually pretty close to fashionable. They aren't cutting edge fashion, but they aren't ugly either.

Men can always rock the mighty fanny pack for CCW.

You mean, like this? (link goes to manufacturer's web site)

The downside of the Flash Bang holster is that the ladies of slighter figure can't use their natural gifts to hide even the smaller .380s.

On the other hand, probably on two other hands, you gotta appreciate a lady that can conceal a 1911 Long Slide in one of these.

8/10. Short, concise, and to the point. If not for the fact that this is about gun ownership this would be a perfect troll.

This is what my father does. On the negative side, you're wearing a fanny pack... in public. On the plus side, nobody makes fun of people with guns to their face.

Will these now be fashionable in South Central?

Anyone else remember the 1990's?

It was easier to conceal your gun in those jnco's than the condom-tight pants most people are wearing these days. The other side of that is the pants on the ground morons that have pants that are so baggy that the waistline is just below their knee and there is nowhere to hide their gun.

Also makes it harder to tie an onion to your belt.

Problem is, outside of gun culture nobody knows that mighty fanny pack is concealing a pistol.

I prefer a sturdy belt, pants a half size big and an IWB holster. Works for all but the hottest days in the Midwest. Of course at 100 degrees with 205% humidity, skin is too much to wear.

Yeah but those are criminals - bad people who only live in shady neighborhoods and only come out at night to mug old ladies walking their dog.

It's just you.

Nobody was calling my 8-year old daughter "wussy" last weekend as she put a few 7.62x51 NATO rounds downrange with my suppressed M-14. They weren't calling her "wussy" when she shot the center out of her target with her pink AR-15 chambered in .22LR. Nobody called her "wussy" as she spotted my shots at 200 yards.

The words used were "pretty" and "awesome", both together and separately.

I've my eye on a Neokilt with a concealed carry sleeve.

I have a .380 that fits into any pants or shorts pockets I have, fully concealed. It doesn't pack much of a punch, but they might bleed out after a few hours.
