I still find it hard to comprehend the level of stupid necessary to actually believe that "Obamacare is eldery genocide".

/I have no faith in humanity left

And yet these same teabaggers had absolutely no problem with the Ryan budget, which literally aimed to eliminate the Medicare program.

They named its replacement Medicare, so it's gotta be the same, right?

No no, that was a lie, remember? Because it was nothing like Medicare, but still called Medicare. So it didn't kill it.

/ugh, that was hard to do.

The logic on that was so ri-goddamn-diculous. According to their argument, we could abolish Medicare and replace it with a free multivitamin labeled "Medicare," and that wouldn't be "ending Medicare," because there would still be something with that name.

Politifact is such a joke. They've caved into the "false balance" theory. If they're constantly correcting lies told by Republicans, they feel they need to go find and debunk an equal number of "lies" told by Democrats. Even if they're not actually lies.

Doc Daneeka: cameroncrazy1984: ManRay: He's just a guy in the neighborhood. Are they saying he wrote the book?

Yep. They are literally saying that Ayers met Obama as part of the the Annenberg Challenge in early 1995, and Bill had a book written that was well-researched and encompassed Obama's entire first 20 or so years of life by the time it published in June.

WND is like the internet clearinghouse for stories about Obama that are clearly racist dog whistles.

-Birtherism
-Allegations about the authorship of his books
-Insinuations about his school grades and academic record
-Jokes about Obama's use of teleprompters

I'm waiting for WND to finally crack one day and just run a giant headline that reads: THE PRESIDENT IS A N****R!!!!

It's a bit late for an article about how the president is near.

karnal: I would think they both would get a writing credit....unless, of course, the book tanks, and then Bush gets credit.

Yep, Obama had invented his time machine by 1995, so he could go back and meet Bill Ayers before he really did four months before his book was published, and well after he started writing it.

Obama started to write it....could not finish it.....gave it to Bill shortly after meeting him....Bill edits and finishes it......best seller.

any questions?

Even embarrased liberals tacitly acknoweldge that Obama is no 'writer', and that he had SUBSTANTIAL help on his book/s from the one and only Bill Ayers. It's not even a secret anymore, even though everything about B. Hussein Obama is fake and/or concealed anyhow by his creators/handlers.

I love how this literary genius has never written anything before or since. I also love how the Obama character in these writings throws himself on his fathers grave to 'free the blood from Africa' or whatever and hears God speaking to him from a cross (i.e. the famous 'converting from islam' moment).

What a load of sh*t. This fraud can't even string coherent thoughts together w/o artifical aid - i.e. the Obamaprompter.

So the critically acclaimed "Dreams from my Father" was actually written by Bill Ayers, whose ownbooks have all received, at best, mixed reviews, and Ayers' own autobiography, "Fugitive Days," received mostly negative reviews.

MAKES SENSE TO ME.

And it's time that America learned the TRUTH about B. Hussein Obama... including you.

That's because book reviewers are slurping hungrily on Fartdingleberry's giant African schlong.

B-Rock Hussein was able to finally, after 30 years, able to get a well-reviewed book out mediocre author Bill Ayers? That's even more impressive than actually writing it. He's even cooler than I thought. Thanks!

He is considered a very strong speechwriter (by other speech writers). So there's that. So you think he only wrote the one book? The name "Audacity of Hope" ring any bells dipshiat?

your post is birfer level stupid BTW. No sensible person believes Ayers had anything to do with writing this book. It is retarded to believe this without any credible evidence.

So if someone puts out books under their name---but you think they are written by someone else--then you make fun of that person for not writing books?

People believed Bill Clinton actually killed a group of people and exterminated the people in Waco and conducted the Ruby Ridge Incident on purpose. And this bullshiat led to McVeigh blowing up a government building along with a daycare center. Paranoia is a bad thing to brew.

Yeah, how did he miraculously know everything about 20+ years of Obama's life in less than four months?

Are you saying that Ayers did meticulous research on a community organizer that he had never met before in the hopes that Obama would by some miracle not be able to finish the book and then 1 - meet him as part of the Annenberg Challenge and 2- ask him to write the book for him?

That's an awful lot of assumptions, isn't it?

What's amazing to me are how many right wing whackos hate Bill Clinton (in part or wholly) because of Ruby Ridge and Waco.

Clinton wasn't president when Ruby Ridge went down. GHW Bush was. Google for "ruby ridge" + clinton, however, and you'll find a host of mouth breathers from FreeRepublic to Rush Limbaugh all blaming Clinton for his fascist goosestepping at Ruby Ridge and Waco.

Hmmm, the RWers have been running with the Alinsky thing for a while. Your post made me think that that talking point may have been originally ginned up to be used against the "inevitable:" Hillary Clinton in 2008 and then was adapted to fit the anti-Obama narrative when he emerged the winner.

I'm a person who likes to understand things and people. Some of the tools I use to achieve this are critical thinking and evidence. I learned about these concepts in college, and they are by far the best things I got out of the college experience.

I don't agree with the people who hate Obama so passionately, but I have tried to understand them. Yet every time I try to put myself in that headspace, I have to get out, because it is a very painful, disorienting experience. Like a bad acid trip.

The best I have come up with is that they do not value critical thinking and evidence as much as I do. They are driven more by raw emotion, and the words and topics they choose to discuss aren't evidence so much as they are caveman-like grunts propelled by the lizard brain. These grunts are attempts to sound like reason, because the lizard brain knows that the higher functioning areas of the brain want to hear some semantic evidence that they have indeed thought things through.

My mistake has been to assume that other people involved with political discourse are as concerned with critical thinking and logic as I am. I apologize for that. It is human nature to assume everyone else is coming from more or less the same POV/mindset/circumstances as you are. I will try to keep in mind my own human failing in this area in the future, and be aware of my mindset while doing it.

In sum: what a bunch of dipshiats.

2012-04-25 01:01:13 PM
Never NEVER apologize for logic and critical thinking.
