They shouldn't worry about public perception. Just keep a chin-chin-chin-chin-chin-chin-chin-chin up.

We already have Shipley's. No need for that other nonsense.

No thanks, I'm on a diet. Lost a lot of weight so far, too. Well, a lot to me.

The fattest city in America? Isn't that like being the baldest person at a bald people convention?

Bain Capital is responsible for this.

Seriously

They were the ones who went and replaced the fryers in the stores with pimply faced donut dispensers. They have reduced the amount of talent to a bare minimum while pushing the brand to new heights of advertising.

I actually prefer some of the mom and pop donut shops instead of the big chains.

Well, in 2011 it was Detroit, but facts never stand in the way of meatheads.

Shipley's is the best though.

I was hoping for a 2-fer win for Detroit. Oh well,

If I had the capital to dump into one of those franchises, I'd do it in a heart beat. Coming from fatty New England, these things are ubiquitous as flyshiat and also a license to print money. The lines of cars into some DD stores in the morning are literally down the street.

It's too bad most (all?) Dunkin franchises don't make their own donuts any more, I used to live near one and the smell of fresh baked donuts would fill the neighborhood...good times...

I just wish they would build one in San Diego. I can't find any sour cream doughnuts out here. A large coffee and two of those and I'm in heaven.

I wish there was a decent doughnut shop in my part of Canada. All we have is Tim Horton's - burnt coffee and crappy excuses for doughnuts.
And the stores are EVERYWHERE! In my home town, Truro, Nova Scotia, with a population of just under 40,000 in the region, there are 9 Tim Horton's stores - 3 on one street even!

/My kingdom for a doughnut
