Boring means uninteresting, but dull implies lack of intelligence.

Naa, they'd just get into bed and read till they fell asleep.

/then Earl would wake up at 4am and go to the can to wank it to tentacle porn.

The people of Boring and Dull both love Grey's Anatomy, so that's nice.

When used to describe a person, this is true. Dull and boring do not mean the same thing when applied to people.

But when used to describe a place, event, etc., dull means tedious or uninteresting. Basically a synonym for boring.

And when used as a verb, boring mean the current to create a hole or tunnel in another object where as dull mean to blunt the edge on something. It totally silly these towns are making a link. I bet they have nothing to do with tunneling or reducing the edges on sharp objects!

Blandburg, PA,
Tiring India,
Dreary Lake, MT,
Dismal Key, FL

And form the super league of meh.

As an added bonus, North Bend, Oregon is south of Bend, Oregon.

In a move which is unlikely to set pulses racing, the Perthshire village and the Oregon logging town are discussing linking to become Dull and Boring.

Boring is a logging town? I don't think so.

Boring has a strip club. Yes, a Boring Strip club.....
Haven't been in there in years, it was pretty bad. No stage, so the "dancers" use to just walk around. We called them "Free Range Strippers"
The worst part? Well, they were not your "A" list strippers, not even "B". Heck most of the time they were mid "C" list.
The running joke was "The B.T where Biker's old ladies go to die"

I just want to mention in passing that I am pretty close to the California border, so I am doing my best to repel invaders. :)

Besides, Seattle is *so* much more welcoming to those from the Golden State!

Well, yeah. Also, Bend is on the east side of Oregon, in the midst of the high desert, while North Bend is on the west side of the state and is, in fact, a coastal town on the Pacific Ocean. Perhaps not as hilarious as rank oversimplification, but certainly bemusing for newbies to the state.

Yeah, it confused me when I was a newbie here. My wife is from Oregon, so she just chuckled at me.

Gay, Michigan has a bar, and they have a Fourth of July Gay Parade as well.

I have a shot glass from Hell, Michigan, given to me by the devil herself...

Much more west than south. Using the location centroids for both in OpenStreetMap, vector (Bend,North Bend) is direction 252.8 degrees with a magnitude of 152.2mi, give or take a thousand feet and a couple hundredths of a degree or so.

Sorry, just as everything east of the Rockies is "Back East" for someone on the West Coast -- even the Midwest is "Back East" -- so too anything east of the Cascades is in "Eastern Oregon" to those of us west of the mountains.

I oversimplified there, but did not mean to offend. And yes, you are very far East. Is Idaho out your back door?
