a dose of humility?

I was a big fan of JPII. This pope gives me the creeps and his Prada shoes and calls for the clergy to dress better do not bode well.

Krikkitbot: a dose of humility?

I was a big fan of JPII.

JPII was too preachy about the whole "man shouldn't fool with nature" thing. Oh, and that whole 'girl cut from the gymnastics team uses gymnastic moves to thwart a velociraptor' thing was *SO* contrived.

It was in his job description to be preachy. I may not have agreed with everything he advocated (and that's one reason I won't be on the fast track to canonization) but he was way more of "the people's pope" than any before him or since.

And you threw me off with the gymnastics girl, lol.

I'm not saying that I don't like it, but doesn't it say "Babylonian Ziggurut" more than "Roman Catholic Church"?

How about adding some stained glass windows? Something modern. Chagall, maybe?

That's because I was talking about this JPII, not the one you were thinking about.
