xanadian: tl;dr.Someone give me the 30-words-or-less version of that Tolstoy?
Dr.Zom: it seems odd that when I google Seungmin Cho, patent consultant, The phrase "Great people of east Asia don't need you. We will own this century, and the next, and the next, until all non-Asians are essentially pounded to submission" doesn't immediately accompany it. That seems odd to me. You would think when you google Seungmin Cho the phrase "Great people of east Asia don't need you. We will own this century, and the next, and the next, until all non-Asians are essentially pounded to submission" would be the first thing that popped up.Try it yourself. Search Seungmin Cho, patent consultant, and see if the phrase "Great people of east Asia don't need you. We will own this century, and the next, and the next, until all non-Asians are essentially pounded to submission" pops up.
Dinobot: jealous stranger but father of two graduates from john hopkins, launches an internet crusade against rapper, based on disparaging statements from jealous cousin -- all because dude was a rebel in his youth but still managed to graduate from stanford with both bachelor and masters degree and became a hip hop star in Korea, whereas cousin who is a classical violin player ends up working in a patent office, and the stranger just upset his hardworking daughters don't have the same success this guy did who doesn't fit the korean mold.
Dinobot: Reminds me a bit of the birther movement for some reason.
you are a puppet: xanadian: tl;dr.Someone give me the 30-words-or-less version of that Tolstoy?Korean Tea Party
Dinobot: that's the best summation I could come up with -- it's just incredibly farked up, and the guys that ruined the rapper's life are completely unrepentant.
TheJoe03: if_i_really_have_to: Huh, so the state of American education has degraded past the point where the very common phrase 'nom de plume' and any variation thereof is one that only showboat pretentious elites use.Funny that you think there was a point when the common man used Frenchie ass terms like that. It's always been pretentious, get over it.
GeneralJim: I can relate. I've got my own psychotic Fark stalker. Pretty much every time I post, the little asswipe will post anything I've ever posted on Fark with which he disagrees. He also gets involved with vast conspiracy theories based, mostly, on the timing of my posts. If I go take a dump, there's a three-page conspiracy theory about it waiting when I get back - at least some days. He's quite ignorant, but copypastas information from the Web, trying to look like some sort of scientician. I've called him on it, repeatedly, which is probably the origin of the stalking. If he put as much effort into tracking ANYTHING scientifically as he does into tracking all my posts, he could be a published PhD. by now.Fortunately for me, the creeper doesn't know where I live, other than the landmass, or my full name. I also don't have a rap career to ruin, so I've got that going for me. And, I have to admit, I sometimes post in such a way that I *KNOW* I'll set off his Asperger's Syndrome, or ass-burner's, or whatever it is that he has. It's simply fascinating to watch him wrap himself around his own axle. I know it's not nice to use the illness of another for amusement, but I've already got a window seat, and a Kosher meal (always a good idea, even for goyim like me) reserved, so it could be worseAnd, I KNOW that if he's reading this thread, he simply will not be able to resist replying -- at least now without twitching uncontrollably for hours. I'll wait. *SNERK*
Heron: bel4sucks: "Nom de rap"..... farkin white peopleWell, pretentious people. "Stage name" would have served well enough but I guess the writer was feeling like a bit of a showboat.
Mytch: rwfan: (Pardon the misuse of the phrase but) this story really begs the question, was part of the hate towards this guy due to the fact that he gained fame as a rap artist? Perhaps that is a little too american, particularly african american, for the haters to stomach. Not really. Stylistically rap in Korea refers strictly to the quick 'singing' style. It doesn't hold the negative, or self centered theme that american pop and rap holds.Epik High is one of the less controversial groups in Korea. Topics are not sexual or violent. Often highlighting legitimate social issues that should be addresses like suicide (look for there song One), social abandonment of the disabled (Run), and monsters that eat your girlfriend (Wannabe).
Thunderboy: TheBlackrose: So the repugnant little shiat that set his cousin's career death spiral into motion is a bitter patent worker that lives in NorCal.Sounds about right.I second Mangoose's motion to send repugnant little shiat's statements to all of his clients. With how easy it was for him to attempt to sell out his own cousin, his clients probably have a snowball's chance in hell./Hope he wins those defamation lawsuits.People keep condemning the cousin, who is by all means a detestable cockbag, but the real bad guy here is the 56-year-old tiger dad in Chicago. The cousin just hated him, while EUNGSUK KIM OF CHICAGO, IL is the mastermind behind TaJinYo (the forum that was created for the purpose of destroying this kid.)It would sure be awful if a group of internetly-minded people were to take an interest in EUNGSUK KIM OF CHICAGO, IL.

Mangoose: Someone should send that little tirade to his clients.
KatjaMouse: Dinobot: They did say he jus debuted his first solo album, and with rave reviews, but other articles say he now suffers of stage fright, because during the height of the controversy, he could not go out in public without being yelled at and getting threats and whatnot...TFA says there's still a defamation suit pending and he has detectives on his side. I'm sure the media is going to make this very public and are going to be pretty keen on shaming those accused. This is culturally a big deal over there.

StealthStalker: I actually stumbled upon a video of his thanks to Comcast's On-Demand K-Pop music video selection. I don't care much for hip-hop and I don't know Korean, but I enjoyed the tune.Tablo - No TomorrowI think this was released more recently, so hopefully he's getting back on track.
rudemix: The real question I have to ask after reading this story is where do we go to ruin the hater cousin's life?
Endive Wombat: It just goes to show how incredibly stupid the pubic is in believing anything that is posted on the internet.
