Oh, so sad. It's okay bobby, say how much it hurts.

You could've easily picked any team to root for, but you chose this one.

We all make mistakes.

You do realize that for all the "they're laughing at you!" nonsense, you acting like a 5-year-old for hours makes you look no better, right? Maybe it's different in New England, but derisive nicknames and pissing on the way the other person "talks" here isn't any kind of a substantive argument elsewhere.

It wouldn't be so easy if you weren't so un-self-aware.

I mean look again at what you wrote:

Yet insisting that NFL players agree with you.

Maybe all this will end up with you understanding a few things and becoming a better person. I'll hedge my bets.

I'm insisting that based on the accounts of players commenting on the commonality of bounties in the NFL, the majority of them agree - oops, sorry - would agree with me if they knew me that they are common. That is based on reading what they have said and forming a judgment. How in any way that is comparable to you acting like a farking baby for hours because we, I don't know, disagreed on baseball once upon a time is ridiculous.

Zulu_as_Kono: and becoming a better person.

The way you've acted since I somehow pissed you off to the point that you'd throw this tantrum, I have absolutely zero interest in being a better person by your standards, whatever THEY are.

Well, were that even true, I'm sure it could be corrected with a link, right?

Hey, this past weekend I was in the city you decided to call home after you decided not to call home the city of your adopted NFL team. Which is to say I was in NYC, which could be confusing because I could be talking about NJ what with the Jets and Giants both playing there and you being from northern Jersey and all, and no I was not in NOLA this weekend, though that might have been cool, too.

At any rate, I had a great time, the weather was mostly perfect. That High Line thing is pretty goddam amazing. I looked out for you but alas, didn't see you. I might've bought you a beer.

OR ONE OF THESE!!!!

What're the odds this is the same source that snitched on bountygate?

2012-04-24 08:26:38 AM

AnotherBluesStringer: An unnamed source has reported to me that ESPN has been bribing all sports journalists to specifically target scandals against the Saints. One journalist was said to receive $10,000 for getting the Saints coaches suspended through slanderous writing. Though I have no evidence to confirm or deny such a claim, I will report it with the full force of truth, which use to be reserved only for genuinely verifiable stories.

Seriously, I wonder if this is the same ESPN "source" that fingered Shockey as the "snitch."

sounds like something a saints fan would say

Now we know how Brees was able to break all those records. I say strip the whole team of all stats and wins during Loomis's entire tenure, it's obvious he ran the most crooked regime in recent history

Indeed, they used the system to send information to Brees, who was playing for the Chargers at the time of the alleged cheating. THAT explains why the Saints didn't get any real benefit from the system, but look what happened to Mr. Brees and the Chargers!

Chargers: 5-3, 3-5, 7-1 at home, 2002-2004 (Total: 15-9)
Chargers: 3-5, 1-7, 5-3 on the road, 2002-2004 (Total: 9-15)

All that time Loomis was cheating to help Brees with another team in the hopes that if he hit free agency, Brees would want to go to New Orleans. It's so simple!

I think robsul82 might appreciate something that might make it seem sketchy. Like if there were any evidence whatsoever, even circumstantial evidence like them performing better at home (all teams are expected to perform better at home...if they were cheating, and they were performing worse at home than on the road, then f*ck, everyone should WANT them to cheat).

I guess in this case Hurricane Katrina played the part of the bodyguards and the local cops who ignored the women's stories, in that it wiped away any evidence of wrongdoing. Goddamn nature always looking out for "cheating" teams by destroying a whole city.

I dunno, if you read what I posted it seems like his cheating DID help Brees a lot (well, more than it helped the Saints)!

Where in the article does it state Loomis wasn't helping the Chargers cheat?

2012-04-24 10:06:16 AM
I am shocked. It is almost like professional football is a competitive business with billions at stake and those involved may be willing to bend rules in order to obtain a competitive advantage. It is hard to believe that these guys aren't all saints like their rabid fans insist they are. Until they are allegedly caught cheating of course. Then it's all "where's the proof? I need video of Loomis' grandmother obtaining a confession from him while he wears panties with Drew Brees' face on them, otherwise I don't believe it". Shocked, I tell you.

I don't see what the big deal is anyway. Saints fans will find some other team's bandwagon to jump on if they turn out to be dirty(er), or simply go back to ignoring them like they did for the first oh, 40 years of their existence.

Speaking of butthurt, geez. It may be lame to do the usual "lock up your daughters" jokes, but even in that case there's at least a shred of circumstantial THERE there than here, at least with the second one. In any case, I had no idea you people took that much offense to somebody who stopped waaaaaaaaay short of some other Farkers. And by "some other," I mean "a LOT of other." Not to mention I've argued that he's an elite QB when seemingly most others here would disagree. However, fine, I'll suspend all "league leader in 2-for-1 pitcher night" jokes and the like.

IAmRight: Indeed, they used the system to send information to Brees, who was playing for the Chargers at the time of the alleged cheating. THAT explains why the Saints didn't get any real benefit from the system, but look what happened to Mr. Brees and the Chargers!

IAmRight: Congrats on picking the most trolling headline possible.

Clearly a hurricane and playing 16 consecutive road games wouldn't cause a downfall in a team's fortune. I'm sure losing the starting RB and starting QB during the season wouldn't impact their performance. Only the loss of the ability to cheat, that ability which had led them to an amazing 12-12 home record over the past three seasons (a span in which they had gone 13-11 on the road, where they couldn't gain that upper hand), could have crushed their spirits like that.

What does the past three seasons home record have to do with something that took place years ago?

justtray: robsul82: justtray: robsul82: Slow To Return: robsul82: Prove otherwise. Until then, ESPN reporting this crap without any of that pesky "evidence" stuff is being ridiculous.

No one gives a shiat about facts, especially when they're reveling in your suffering. You're the closest most of us will ever come to meeting a real live human being Saints fan.

I'm a big boy, I can take it. In any case, "there's no proof of this" is a pretty solid tack to take.

Ask Rothlisberger how that went for him. I'm sure you were defending him as well right? Should I google you to find out?

Oh dear. I HAVE made Roethlisberger jokes. Trouble trouble. Oh well, making crude jokes about Roethlisberger still doesn't equal any proof to this allegation. Should I expect you to keep being extraneous topics to the conversation because you REALLY don't like the fact that there's no proof of any eavesdropping, or?

As you can guess, I was going to point out how huge a hypocrite you would have to be to villify Roethlisberger while defending the Saints using the same argument.

Late to the game here, but I had to point out what a farking retard you are. With Roethlisberger there was a ton of circumstantial evidence. Remember, a cop lost his job for covering up the incident? Whereas in the eavesdropping case with the Saints there is only one unsupported allegation?

The two situations are not remotely analogous, and you are a dumbs hit to think they are.
