Which might be more than can be said for Dretke's reputation, which will take some time to rebuild. Up until this incident, her life appeared to have been flawless. No criminal record, a cutesy Pinterest page, a wedding to a Houston firefighter.

Bye bye, life!

"Taking out a good chunk of a DWI task force and drunkenly causing cops to become hospital patients does not seem like something Dretke's bosses would be willing to simply shrug off as youthful indiscretions, if the allegations are proven correct."

This is what I never get; how can you get your day in court when the media just publishes info on anyone who gets arrested, charged, etc? I think I read somewhere that in Europe you can't release info on anyone who hasn't been convicted of a crime. Yeah, it's obvious this lady did what she did but she hasn't even been charged yet but she will still lose her job and now her reputation is shot.

Hello, political career!

Don't get her started on, 'are dwi check points unconstitutional' topic. She has a proven track record.

sounds like she was trying to send a lot of people to the hospital

How in the hell do you get to be director of anything by age 25?

2012-04-23 08:40:32 PM
Hey ma'am nice shot.

2012-04-23 08:40:52 PM
That's way too many witnesses to get away with blowing the arresting officer, or bribing him with good prescription meds.

Better luck nextime, Ms.get hammered and play smash 'em up with the coppers.

Between that and the "Why was the copter flying so low" story this has to qualify for TOTD.

Whaddya mean subby, now she's also a customer!

"Calli Dretke"???

I've seen more realistic names on my nephew's "Team Fortress" page.

She's probably more upset about this than anyone else is, I'll warrant. While I'm sitting here cutting into a nice steak she's probably eating a sammich and thinking "what the hell just happened?"

It may not be a way to drum up business, but it sure is efficient, whatever it is

Director of marketing and PR at a Houston hospital by the age of 25? Who the fark is her father? Or the next question might be, how the fark did she blow? Is this a tiny hospital?

The one where my brother works has a pretty good sized marketing department and people at that level are making six-figures and the youngest are in their forties. I think most have extensive media experience and may even be required to have master's degrees. The only 25 year old bimbos they have on staff are entry level or glorified interns.

Ha! Yes, it does. Where did his neck go?

This gets more and more interesting. I just found her hospital's website. It hasn't been updated in several years. In fact, if you want to look at their community benefit paperwork (which should be up to date), you will see 2008's. Does this hospital even exist? It must be tiny. Also, shouldn't she be charge of keeping their website up to date? She is, after all, the director of marketing and pr.

Does she look capable of updating a website?

This totally proves all those people who say "We don't need DWI checkpoints" completely right.

This alcoholic could have made it safely home if that reckless checkpoint hadn't lept out of the woods and into the middle of the road with all their lights off.

DWI check points are totally evil.
