so...what? 10 whole minutes before he backed down?

2012-04-23 03:34:21 PM
Did he find Rubio's horse head in his bed or something?

The Politburo kept its talking heads on short leashes, too.

2012-04-23 03:37:31 PM
When did he even make it?

Pansy-ass.

Like anything he says makes a difference anyway? Didn't he finish behind a Ficus plant in one of the primaries?

Here, this, etc.

Hey, that was one of Ron Paul's biggest victories.

Did they send him to count trees?

"I said, you know, if you're not on-script and you get knocked out of an event like that, the parties are supposed to be big-tent, you're supposed to bring in all ideas," Huntsman said on the show. "And I said I thought for a moment about what they do in China if you go off-script. The party, they knock you out. We shouldn't be doing that here, we should be accommodating all voices."

Huntsman's right, of course, the RWA mind set that demands that everybody line up is obviously in play with the modern GOP and is legitimately comparable to the Chinese government's affinity for mass obedience and compliance with authority.

The fact that Huntsman was forced to back off these statement five minutes after he made them just underscores the truth of them, ironically enough.

This is a great leap forward for the Republican Party.

Backing down from what? Near as I can tell, he never said "Communist China." He just said China, and all the headlines paraphrased it in a way to maximize flammability. This "stepping back" just appears to reiterate what he said in the first place.

Big whoop.

Philip Francis Queeg: This is a great leap forward for the Republican Party.

A total change in political culture. A cultural revolution, if you will.

Way to prove his point comrades.

The GOP is well on their long march to victory.

And of course the "liberal media" didn't have the balls to ask; "Isn't this backpedaling proving your earlier point? So how many of your parties bosses called you last night to give you your orders to back down from your statements?"

Sounds like he went off of the script and got reprimanded.

I guess they promised to show him just how much like the Ruling Communist Party they could be.

You know how it is when you make a statement about the Chinese: ten minutes later, you're hungry enough to make another statement about the Chinese.

Has he had to kiss Chairman Limbaugh's hoof on the air yet? Or will a simple pledge of fealty during a commercial break suffice?

squidgod2000: He would have made a good President.

Not even a great man can be a good POTUS with the GOP behind them.

Not. Possible.

Yeah, I don't think Mr. Huntsman was referring to Taiwan.

To be fair, we live in the age of Obama.

If the bar was set any lower he'd have to dig a hole.

Huntsman needs to take some growing-a-pair lessons from Chris Christie. And then Huntsman can give Christie some weight-loss tips.

Okay, thread over unless we have some fresh Huntsman daughter pics.
