Jesus, somebody has to eat the last apple. I suppose Gallant would let it rot out of courtesy.

Gallant did get out. He enrolled in the college courses with me, and although it was hard, he gutted it out like he always did. He went on to college and eventually became a lawyer. Last week, he entered a fast food restaurant. Just ahead of him, two men got into an argument; one of them pulled a knife. Gallant, who'd always made the best peace, tried to break it up. He was stabbed in the throat; he died almost instantly. Although I hadn't seen him for more than 10 years, I know I'll miss him forever.

And boobs. Just about everything can be boobs.

That's a depressing lesson? I thought you breeder boys like those things.

Not every breeder is the same. Kind of like how there are varying levels of dicksuckers in your rainbow realm.

NorCalLos: Rich Cream: NorCalLos: I love snagging the Highlights magazines from the Dr./Dentist's office. It's a great way to find the addresses of families that have young children.

That makes so much sense it doesn't make any.

Likewise.

Allow me to rephrase.

Why would addresses of young children's families be in the Highlights magazine at the doctor's office?

Are you saying all the parents bring their kid's subscription and leave it there? Or perhaps they fill out the subscription cards but never tear them out? Or are you a fingerprint and DNA sleuth?

Highlights is essentially asking us to be kind despite the fact that impulsive, mean people will be leading the same lives as us minus all of the social responsibilities. Even for adults, that's a tough pill to swallow.

Perhaps someone else has already pointed this out (DNRTFT), but the parallel to this is that being a dick has not resulted in any 'unfair' advantage. So, Goofus is just being a dick for the sake of being a dick. So, I think the point of the 'toon is still in tact. Don't be a dick because being a dick sucks.

"The game is teaching kids that focusing too hard on even an ordinary object can ruin their understanding of it. What's worse, no one is really sure how to determine when focus starts becoming detrimental; we have no metric for that. We're all just sort of guessing our entire lives at how to continue seeing the forest through the trees, and for a kid that's a terrifying insight."

It may be because I'm off today and decided to smoke some bud, but this cracked article is particularly insightful...
