Hawks fans leaving early.

paj: The TV networks must hate 5-min penalties due to there being no tv-timeouts whilst a team is on a powerplay. Too bad, suckas!

Sucks to be them, great to be us

I want to like Phoenix but I can't stand their fans for not supporting the team during the regular season.

Don't think we're going to have a 6th consecutive overtime game.

What the hell happened to the powerhouses?

vegaswench: ytterbium: My husband turned the channel before the Hayes hit and refuses to turn back, out of bitter disgust. We're now watching a fascinating program about the manufacture of chains and rope.

I hope you get some tips on how to use those on him, because playoff hockey, dammit.

He might like that, but then again, if he was a masochist, we'd still be watching.

Apparently some fans in Chicago are leaving early to catch the Captain and Tennille concert in Elk Grove.

Even I hated what Raffi did, cheap shots piss me off. Yeah, I know, it's hockey

The problem is that Torres' hit was a turning point in the series. Hawks lost arguably their most important guy for this series for a nobody like Torres.

Usually i'd cheer whoever beats the hawks after a good close series, but I can't respect this phoenix team. Go blues.....

well, I guess the Hawks can go looking for a new goaltender this offseason.

I hear Vancouver's looking to trade.

Imagine Lou on the team that lit him up so bad a couple years in a row and were his biggest nightmare! Hmm, I like the possibility of that!!

Take Jimmy Howard. Maybe he can win with a different team.

The Wings weren't looking too good towards the end of the regular season. I wouldn't have called them a strong playoff team this year.

Yeah, but the Sharks don't do all that well either, heh.

After paying who knows how much money for a playoff ticket, I would want to stay to watch one of the great sports traditions, the end of series handshakes.

Not sure how those fans can leave early like that.

I feel like one or both of the favorites in the East will still prevail after their game 7s. I could be wrong, but I don't think it's gonna turn out like the West. It'd be pretty awesome though, would guarantee either a new Cup winner or someone that hasn't won in quite some time, right?

/too lazy to look up Cup history for 8 teams

So thats 4 goals on 6 shots?

So it's just Sens-Power Rangers and Nats-Boston?

I predicted a blowout either way at work today. Smith stole this in the first 40. If the yotes manage to win the cup, they should just put his name on the cup 30 times

2012-04-23 11:32:48 PM
There were 10 teams with 100 or more points this season.

4 have been eliminated
2 have been taken to a game 7
1 faces elimination in game 6

. . . when they said the regular season isn't traditionally all that meaningful in the NHL, I didn't realise this is what they meant.

Let Smith have a shot on goal.

I wonder what Kane did to get a 10. No matter what he says or does, he still looks like a 10 year old.

Yah, it's official. Unless the Rag end up facing the Yotes for the Cup, I'm rooting for Team Doan. He reminds me of Ray Bourque - a good player stuck on crappy teams for years before getting a legit shot at the deep playoffs.

I wish him luck.

I'm pretty sure Crawford would be a clear improvement for the Jets' goaltending. It'd have to be a three-team trade.

And the sad part is that I can't even be happy about Chicago losing because Detroit was more pathetic than them.
