nah, Adele just won some grammys, was in the headlines everywhere, and has had numerous threads devoted to her here on Fark, so I know who she is. This thread is the first time I've heard of Gotye. Something tells me I'm probably happier not knowing who he/she/it is.

I like the song. I listened to the album. It sounds nothing like the song.
I like kimbra's voice so I put it down to that. Gotye alone is boring to the point of tedious pretentious fauxpop for people who don't want to denigrate themselves to listening to pop.
