Maybe I'm crazy, but didn't one of the burger chains here try something like this a few years ago? 3-4 mini patties on a hoagie roll?

It failed hard.

Man I miss mitraillettes. Well... Belgian ones, not French ones. No disrespect intended.

I actually made a burger at home the other day but I didn't have any buns so I cut off a big chunk of french bread and toasted it. And boy was it delicious. I may not go back to regular hamburgers ever again.

I wish more places would stray from the traditional hamburger.

Except that France has actual laws about what can and can't be called a baguette, based on where and how the bread is made. There laws were developed to maintain some kind of traditional bread and food industry that could not be taken over by foreign mass market manufacturing. So, this is very interesting, given that means McDonald's has to find the proper suppliers.

Incontinent_dog_and_monkey_rodeo: The McDonald's in Paris are always packed with Frenchmen.

Subway too

yes, there are French people that pass by boulangeries to buy from Subway, as impossible as it sounds. then again, many boulangeries make terrible baguettes. and usually its just one particular variety of baguettes will be good, and the rest would be crap.

And if somebody could also tell me what's their word for entrepreneur, I was told they don't have one, but I refuse to believe it.
